Product Description

Style: Transducer, Worldwide Basemap

An Amazing Combo with a 5" Display

  • 5" VGA display
  • HD-ID™ sonar
  • 500W (77/200 kHz) transducer
  • 10Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver
  • Wireless connectivity

echoMAP 50s is an amazing chartplotter and fishfinder combination. Its crystal-clear 5" display provides clear target separation, allows visibility both day and night, and has a user interface that anyone can navigate. It comes with a worldwide basemap or Garmin U.S. lakes or offshore cartography.

Super-fast 10 Hz GPS/GLONASS

With the integration of a 10Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver, the 50s refreshes position and heading up to 10 times per second. It displays constant and fluid on-screen location and proves to be incredibly accurate when marking waypoints and navigating.

Advanced Echo HD-ID Sonar

In addition to the integrated receiver, echoMAP 50s also allows for sonar recording. This feature coordinates the timing of the sonar return in relation to the boat’s position — so every one of the available 5,000 waypoints will be accurate and precise. It's an absolute must when locating and pinpointing the next hot fishing spot.

Transducer and Wireless Connectivity

Included with echoMAP 50s is a dual-beam transducer that transmits a 77/200 kHz signal. It also has wireless connectivity capability, giving you the opportunity to connect and access marine-specific apps via smartphone or tablet.

What's in the Box:

  • echoMAP 50s
  • Power/data cable or power/data/sonar cable
  • Tilt/swivel mount
  • Flush mount kit

Guess I will make it a Raymarine, Lowrance, or Humminbird!
Nicole
Install was relatively easy with the most complicated part being cable runs in the boat.

It is more likely an expensive fish finder and depth finder.

Let me start off with the positive. This is a fine gps and depth unit, if you order the software upgrade.
The Basemap model will not work period with gps. It needs additional software, i.e., lakemaps etc. or you will NOT see any detail. This is not clear when ordering and I had to return and re-order. ALSO for those using in the Great Lakes, Lk St Clair area etc. Garmin left off gps info because of memory deficiency. I've talked to their staff 3x now over 2 months and they can't seem to send me the update - so beware. My advise, buy this at your local marine electronics dealer to get it right the first time.

Have only been on the water once, but I got what I was expecting. Nice clear screen. Nice screen split options. Manuals could be more informative, but I won't downgrade for that. Install was relatively easy with the most complicated part being cable runs in the boat. This was a replacement for a 12 year old product on my 1999 Alumacraft Magnum 165CS.

I got this to replace a Garmin GPSMAP 441S because I was very unhappy with that unit's sonar performance. The 50S has a far superior sonar and is better in every other respect. Larger/brighter screen, better GPS, more features, and even takes up less space on my dash. Make sure you get the right version for your needs. The built in Bluechart coastal database is good but the add-on Bluechart G2 Vision chip is worth the money and enables advanced mapping features not otherwise available. I could have saved a few bucks by buying the version with just the worldwide basemap since my Vision chip replaces the built-in Bluechart.

I bought this Gps with transducer but the ad was lying. No transducer was included in the price. The seller has contacted me several times and want me to give him five star. So I will, because I dont have any bad feelings for him, but still, I didnt got what it said in the ad. (Happy now?)
