I have been having a hard time finding sturdy and attractive vegan shoes for my husband to wear to work. Many vegan shoes are hideously ugly... the last pair he got were very nice looking, but blew a hole out the side after only two months of wear. I actually found these Garmont shoes on a vegan shoe website, but we couldn't afford them as they were about $150 over there. I was surprised to find them on Amazon so much cheaper! The picture of the shoe looks brown, but the shoes are actually black and grey (which is what we were looking for). It's too soon to say how long they will last, but so far so good! (He's been wearing them for about three weeks).

In a last minute shopping adventure before a trip I picked up a pair of the at EMS for around $100. Not knowing anything about the brand and this being a different style shoe vs the Nike sneakers I was used it was a shot in the dark. Wow was I impressed at the comfort of these shoes...probably the best I've ever worn. They look great (subtle but stylish) and like another reviewer said, they're black and grey, not brown at all. I took these light hiking around the city and mountainous region and was shocked at how well they felt and the freedom I had to move.

After a year of daily use they've held up well and still look pretty darn good.

Will probably buy them again, this time from Amazon.
