Tongue too short,
By
This review is from: Garmont Women's Apex Hiking Shoe (Apparel)
The shoes are comfortable. However, the tongue is so short that the top laces slide under and rest uncomfortably on the top of your instep. Backing down one hole leaves the shoes so loose that they slide up and down on your heels. You simply cannot tighten the laces enough to keep them from sliding. In my opinion, very POOR design for a hiking shoe. I am returning them and will try something else. It's too bad, because the shoe felt good on the foot, but just no support from the lace-up structure.

Hiking shoes,
This review is from: Garmont Women's Apex Hiking Shoe (Apparel)
My first pair of hiking shoes. I have just worn these once but liked them - not too bulky and give good support.

Comfortable, sturdy shoe.,

Very nice hiking shoe that was comfortable to wear the entire first day. I think the size is a little large and wide so you might consider ordering a half size smaller.
