The vibram soles started to peel off the front of both shoes, and I had to pull them off completely.

I would buy more pairs as replacements when my first pair finally wear out, but my size is no longer available.

Yes the green is more of a lime than a fern and the trim is taupe, but the picture is not that far off.

Im going to have to completely disagree with the previous reviewer, Ive owned and actually worn 3 pairs of this shoe and I love it. Yes the green is more of a lime than a fern and the trim is taupe, but the picture is not that far off. If you dont like bright colored shoes, avoid these. I like green and find this to be a unique and fun trail shoe. Additionally they are light and breathable, the insole is great, it has better arch support than your average sneaker and actually cups the heel rather than a flap of sponge. Ive had a pair completely submerged in water and they held up fine, I work outdoors during the summer and these are perfect for that. They are good for the streets or the trails. I wouldnt be afraid to put some serious mileage on a pair, or run in them. Under 25$ is an amazing price for this shoe.

I bought these shoes on a lark -- the price was right, and I'd had success with a similar brand. I took them to Amsterdam with me without breaking them in first. That's right: 4 days of walking all over cobblestone streets in new shoes. They were fabulous. Not only comfy, but kept my feet warm & dry -- and that's saying something considering the constant drizzle/gentle rain/gullywashers in 40 degree F temps.

Good stuff, great price.

I was interested in these shoes since they are a good brand for a really good price. The reviews worried me though. I ordered a half size down which works well as long as I don't wear super-thick socks. The other reviewers were right about the colors. The picture and color description of fern/silver is way off. The green is more of a neon, though it's not shiny so it's not horrible. It covers about half the shoe and is a meshy material. The "silver" is definitely taupe. So the color combo is not great. The styling of the shoe is nice besides the colors. Since I won't be wearing them daily and can live with the colors, I'm keeping them. So far they feel comfortable and I think as they break in, they will feel even better and look better too (to me, new hiking shoes always look kind of dorky).

The green doesn't bother me at all, but I'm all for fun color shoes. The fit does bother me. They bother the balls of my feet a little and there is no support at the arch for my foot. it took me a while to adjust the laces so they felt ok on, but even then they still were uncomfortable. The lace part at the top kind of rubs the top of my foot, or something. also, by the time I was done adjusting, the laces were almost too short to tie in a comfortable tightness level, since the tongue is so puffy.
There's also too much room in the toe area for my taste.
a shoe insole might help make them feel better, but I wont be wearing them as is. I will probably just return them.
They were at a pretty low price, but still not worth it for me.

Wow...what can I say? After reading some of the comments I was a little worried about getting these. OMG the price and the quality that these seem to be can not be beat. The color is fine and looks just like the picture. I must say outside the green is a little brighter. I have them on and breaking them in and they feel fine, not stiff and I ordered my correct size and it seems to be true. These are for outdoor activities and need to be sturdy to hold up. After a 45 minute powerwalk my feet feel great. Best of all...under 25 bucks...great deal.

Well, I haven't had the shoes long, so I don't know how they will break in, but they certainly aren't too comfortable from the get go, as modern day hiking shoes usually are. The sole is very stiff, which then makes the heel slip even when the shoe is tied really well. I've had to bend the sole myself and we'll see if that fixes it. But for the price, you get what you pay for. Their product development people must all be color blind if they think that's silver. More like brown, or muddy sand.

I love these shoes. The photo does not show the true colors - more like a yellow-chartreuse green with very light brown trim, but I like the color combo. Running my dog kennel I am on my feet all day long and walk dogs several times a day. These shoes stand up to the wear and tear and are extremely comfortable. I would buy more pairs as replacements when my first pair finally wear out, but my size is no longer available.
