Color Name: R3 Light Intense Auburn Nourishing Color Creme Permanent
My hair has been pretty much every color, I'm naturally a medium brown though. I've had red hair a couple times before and knew it looked nice on me so I thought why not since it was an eternal losing battle trying to get ashy tones into my hair.

I had finally decided to embrace the red undertones in my hair by just going full out red again, and went out and purchased L'Oreal Feria Ruby Fusion (66) since I've liked L'oreal Feria before and it doesn't damage my hair. My hair prior to dying it with Ruby Fusion, it was a dark blonde color. The new color turned out fairly decent, it wasn't as red as I hoped but I thought it looked ok..and then 3 days later when I washed it for the very first time since dying it. It instantly turned my hair into just a flat reddish brown. Worst red hair dye I've ever used. I only use sulfate free shampoos etc, and my hair isn't super damaged so there was no real reason for it to wash out THAT fast. I know red fades a lot faster than the other colors but seriously, one wash?
Disappointed.

Set in my desire to have red hair now that I had decided to do it and all, as well as being stuck with this icky brown-red color after just one wash, I went on the hunt for another red hair dye. That's when I came across this one. I'd read some good reviews about it, and figured I might as well try it, so just a week after my Feria attempt (hoping my poor hair wouldn't suffer too much from dying it again too soon) I slathered on Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color, Light Intense Auburn (R3), and hoped for the best. While putting the hair dye in I had to fight the urge to slightly freak out..when you're putting this stuff in it's ridiculously bright orange/red, like Bozo the Clown type red.

Color Name: B1 Cool Brown Iced Macchiato
I'm a licensed, retired cosmetologist. Historically, most boxed hair color formulas were not that great, and to get any type of professional look, you had to go to the pros. Not now!

First of all the smell is nice, not the typical strong smell. Secondly, the B1 color left my brown hair with a beautiful multiple dimensional look to it. This color is hard to find in the stores in my area, unfortunately.

For those saying it didn't work for them or cover their grays, you may need to leave it on a bit longer, say 5-10 minutes more. Also, always start along your hairline if this is a retouch. There's also a product called gray magic that helps. It can be added to any permanent color.

Color Name: Bl 26 Reflective Auburn Black
I saw Garnier's new line of "reflective" hair colors in a local store and was instantly taken with the Reflective Auburn Black shade. I thought about it for a few days because I was nervous about what color I would actually end up with, since there weren't any reviews to be found online. I had been wanting to add some red to my hair for a while but didn't want to look like the Kool Aid guy. I figured this would be a good start!
Let me start by saying that you need to be really careful with this dye! If you're someone who regularly uses red, you'll be used to it, if not, make sure you cover your bathroom pretty well and wear something that you won't mind getting stained. The dye is a very bright reddish orange color (so don't freak, your hair won't turn this color!)! It will stain your skin, your clothes and anything else it drips on. That said, the consistency isn't really drippy, so I, fortunately, kept my floors, walls and ceiling dye-free. It had been a while since I'd colored, so I left it on a little longer than the suggested time. I will also add that I have long, thick hair, and there was plenty of dye. The smell wasn't too bad.
Now.. the instructions say to rinse hair until the water runs clear. I would have been in the shower for a week if I'd waited for the water to run clear. It just kept coming, and coming, and coming (you also might want to give your tub an extra rinse after if it doesn't drain quickly.) All told, it probably took 5 showers until the water actually ran clear. So, if you're unwilling to spend an entire day in the shower, make sure you either blow dry your hair or towel dry it quite thoroughly and put it in a clip on top of your head while it dries. I don't blow dry my hair but I always clip it up to dry.

Although I like the product, my hair did come out black, I have not seen in bronze highlights but I did like the shine and the way my hair felt after the conditioner.

Color Name: Bl 21 Reflective Blue Black
Garnier N.Blue Black hair color is so PRETTY when the hair is dyed. My result was extremely rich black hair with very natural, soft reflections of blue and my hair felt healthy. I LOVED it...for one week anyway. Then I washed my hair and I noticed droplets of bluish-black hair dye splattering in the sink- a little confused, nevertheless i shrugged it off and continued to style my hair- but now my color looked about 85% of the richness it was. Then i washed my hair the following week and I experienced a repeat episode. This time I was bothered! The dye was washing out like a Semi-permanent and it's NOT. Now at 3 -3.5 weeks my brown roots are showing and my hair is splotchy soft black and brown. I think Garnier N. should reassess their formula and put out a longer-lasting product- you know, more like something actually PERMANENT.

Currently I'm using Loreal Supreme Excellence Ultimate Black(Permanent)-its a very rich inky solid black and its VERY PRETTY- no fading yet- (Im now turned off from the whole blue black look from this experience LOL).
