Book Description

October 4, 2002
In Tales from the Miami Dolphins, Garo Yepremian, best known for his botched "pass" in Super Bowl VII, shares his unique and humurous perspective on life with the Dolphins. Yepremian was the Dolphin kicker during the infamous, and never duplicated, undefeated 1972 season. His legendary sense of humor brings his memories of coaches and teammates to life. From kicking in his very first professional football game, which was the first he had ever seen, to being named "Kicker of the Decade," he, like those '70s Dolphin teams, overcame enormous obstacles to become a winner. Learn about Hall of Famers Larry Czonka, Bob Griese, Paul Warfield, and Nick Buonicotti, as well as the "No Name Defense."

GARO YEPREMIAN FORMER PLACE KICKER FOR THE DOLPHINS DOES A GOOD JOB WITH MANY STORIES AND INSIGHTS ABOUT THE 1972 DOLPHINS AND HIS OWN PERSONAL LIFE. HE HAS A TON OF HUMOROUS AND ENTERTAINING FACTS AND TALES. GARO HAS ALSO HAD SOME TRAGEDY ALONG WITH A LONG AND PRODUCTIVE CAREER. HIS WIFE HAD BREAST CANCER, PARENTS DEATHS, INJURIES AND GETTING CUT BY THE DOLPHINS BECAUSE OF AN INCIDENT WITH HIS BROTHER. GARO IS ALSO QUITE A SPEAKER AND HAS HAD SUCCESS WITH MOTIVATIONAL TALKS. ALONG THE WAY HE HAS MET SEVERAL FAMOUS PEOPLE IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE. HIS STORIES CONCERNING THESE PEOPLE IS ONE OF THE MANY HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS BOOK. I FOUND THE BOOK TO BE A BIT SPARSE CONCERNING THE 1972 SEASON AND THE SUPERBOWL VICTORY BUT GARO DOES PACK QUITE A BIT IN THIS EASY AND FUNNY READ.
