Better made then my old pans , with deeper ridges. If you want to know where to go in your state, contact your local BLM and they can help you out with maps and forms if you want to stake a claim. Or where to go for public panning. I also bought some more small bottles for the dust.

This "GOLD PAN" and "CLASSIFIER" kit is not a toy. These a professional grade items, that should not be classified as toys by Amazon. This is the best Gold Pan I have ever used. All heavy material stays in the pan, even after vigorous rapid sample panning action. The Chinese invented this deep trap design, it is simply Ingenious.

These are "tools" that could make you serious money if you know where to look.
NOT TOY'S.

The classifier is 1/2", (the holes are 1/2") which is a little large for the first timer, tho all around is much better than no classifier at all! The pans are of the highest quality with 90
degree angles which make for easy gold trapping. Overall am more than satisfied with the purchase tho I did buy a 1/4" classifier as I also sluice.

Excellent product! This is a quality tool that will last. The riffles are deep and provide an excellent place for gold to settle.

Its awesome! Excpet the book isn't a big help to find out where to go, e.i. what to look for in a river or hill side etc... I wish is said something like. "A good place to look for gold would be on a rivers bend in the slow moving water", or "look around Igneous rocks." Stuff like that. But I'm excited either way to use this :D.

I bought this kit for my 7 year old son as he is a big fan of the Gold Rush television show and has been begging me to take him to "pan for gold". I like that the pans and sifter are made in the USA.

If you could put a restriction: Do Not Open Til You Read Instruction Manual...It would be great !!! Husband went panning, found gold dust, wasn't patient enough
to finish...so he dumped it back. When he got back, he read the enclosed manual, had he brought a jar, he could have taken it home and finished it at his leisure, hahaha. In your kit you give ALL the tools, people just have to use them. He has since joined American Prospectors, I think this will help him not be panning where he shouldn't be.

Every thing the beginning gold panner needs and some of the things that any gold panner would use.
Nothing better on the market.

It gets the job done and done well!
