Purchased in Dunedin, New Zealand, Garth Brooks 'The Ultimate Collection' quickly became a favorite both the DVD and the CDs are constantly played in our home and have delighted a number of visitors. Don't let the Easy guitar name fool you.
I would not recommend this book for beginner guitar players. This book doesn't include recommended strum patterns and a lot of the chords are for advanced guitarists. There are easier ways to play the songs. I am sure they don't sound as good or with as much depth and detail as it would if you played using this book but this is supposed to be an EASY guitar book. I would not recommend this book for beginner guitar players. This book doesn't include recommended strum patterns and a lot of the chords are for advanced guitarists. There are easier ways to play the songs. I am sure they don't sound as good or with as much depth and detail as it would if you played using this book but this is supposed to be an EASY guitar book. And it appears more like an advanced or well established guitarist. I would not recommend this for beginners. If you want a beginner song book. Buy anything released by Hal Leonard. He puts out some quality easy guitar books for beginners. Complete with strum patterns and picking patterns.

It was great to learn that Garth has now come out of retirement, hopefully, with the potential of more great hits like those preserved in this great volume. The guitar cords a great added bonus. Truly top of the genre Garth entertains and inspires.
