This collection, although short, is surprisingly uplifting. "We shall be free" really creates a feeling of hope for the human spirit. If you are looking for video entertainment--this is not it. This is horrible! I don't know why anyone would buy it and I had to share my rewiew because somehow it had five stars so I bought it. Trash can material-period. Example of selling a name on a label with no substance. Live in Central Park--now that is a concert!

This collection, although short, is surprisingly uplifting. "We shall be free" really creates a feeling of hope for the human spirit. "Standing outside the fire" is a great track but an even better video, a mini movie concerning social issues. "The Red Strokes" is the let down of the bunch but the "behind the scenes" more than make up for the uneventful video. All these videos are introduced by Garth himself which gives a very personal touch. With the added video, "The Change" (In tribute to the victims and the survivors of the Oklohoma bombing), this video succeeds in lifting your heart and making you glad that you spent your hard earned money on a thirty five minute video.

I just saw the video "Standing Outside the Fire" at a conference last week. We were all in tears. I had to buy it to use for our Let's Get A Life training. This young man with Down syndrome shows self-determination with a bang. I have a 14 year old son with Down syndrome and this video really hit home. It is not often that we can find training materials produced with such talent, polish and impact. Thank you Garth.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Video Collection Volume Two, December 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Garth Brooks Video Collection, Vol. 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The Video Collection Volume Two.It was an awesome video collection & the videos where great. One was a Gospel video called "We Shall Be Free" which was talking about freedom, peace, faith & love. One thing was so cool about the video was there was so many scenes and stars on the video that It was very cool. The videos on the collection Were "We Shall Be Free",Standing Outside The Fire",The Red Strokes & Two Versions of The Change one is the real thing & the other is just the video, but Garth's not In It.The only thing I wish they would do with the Collection was release It opn DVD & add more features like a Biography, show the entire collection of his videos & add more videos.Garth has made a total of 27 videos since 1988 & the only thing I wish Is If they did release It on DVD please add "Ain't Going Down Till The Sun Comes Up","Callin' Baton Rouge","Somewhere Other Than The Night","Anonymous","That Summer","Learning to Live Again","The Beaches Of Cheyenne","It's Your Song" & "I Don't Have To Wonder".Note all of these songs I noted here are:videos & they used to be shown on CMT,but they never show them anymore they all came out in between 1991 & 1997 they are all awesome & If the people who make these videos would release It on DVD & add these features to them that would be really cool. It's a shame they always release DVD's of Pop Artists,Country Artists & Other Artists except Garth Brooks which Is terrible that like ot release DVD Videos for other artists & not Garth isn't It & they should be ashamed.People just think since Garth Brooks ain't releasing albums lately that they can't make a brand new video collection of his best videos & more features like a biography, the videos I listed & show the albums he's had.Instead of letting his best videos never be shown again or at least be able to be bought at a store. It's aweful Isn't It.If the people who release DVD versions of artist VHS & DVD Videos see this please & think about re-releasing his Video Collections on DVD format & add more features too & I wish someday that they would come out with a Complete Video Collection of ALL OF HIS VIDEOS FROM 1988-2001 WHICH WOULD BE EXCELLENT.

Garth fan,
JARET

5.0 out of 5 stars A definite "Must Have" for GB fans or music video lovers!!!, January 27, 2002
This review is from: The Garth Brooks Video Collection, Vol. 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Not only are these videos the best of the best from Garth Brooks, they are 10 times better than most of the music videos out there!
The majority of the music videos today are so cut and dry it makes me yak. They are only made because it's the "in" thing for singers and the record companies want to make a quick buck. These videos ("We Shall be Free", "Standing Outside the Fire", "The Red Strokes" and "The Change") have actual emotion and meaning. The special effects are cutting edge and the songs really come to life.
I recommend this to anyone. Even if you don't like Garth you'll love these videos.

This collection of Garth Videos (We Shall be Free, The Change, Red Strokes, and Standing Outside the Fire) is unbelievable. The sound and video quality is superb, and it does great justice to Garths wonderful musical skills and video production. It is a must have for any Garth Brooks fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Red Strokes - I wish they would transfer it on DVD!, July 30, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Garth Brooks Video Collection, Vol. 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I liked this movie Garth Brooks: The Garth Brooks Video Collection: Volume II & I enjoyed that movie.

Garth Brooks is a great guy & I think he could swing a lasso chasing after a calf on horseback, rope it, dismount, run to the calf, flank it & tie three of it's feet & I think Garth Brooks could do it probably in 6.7 seconds like Joe Beaver in West Jordan, Utah in 1986 out of the Guinness Book of Records like 1991 to 1997.

My favourite music videos were We Shall Be Free, Standing Outside the Fire, The Red Strokes & 2 versions of The Change & in Standing Outside the Fire, the boy was in a race & the boy accidentally tripped & cut his face & dad ran & told the other guy (who was trying to help the boy up) & the boy's dad said to the other guy who was in the arena, "Get away from him! This kid is not finished. Come on Brandon, you got get up son." Then the boy got up & won the race & his parents were proud of the boy when he won the race.

In The Red Strokes video, Garth Brooks was in a white suit & got full of red paint & heard an interviewage from Garth Brooks hearing him say about this video that when Garth Brook & the paino were going down in the red paint, the piano got about half way down & was stuck & later went down. The paint was freezing cold & Garth Brooks held his breath for five seconds & when he went under the paint, it was warm & it was just like going in a swimming pool & when he came out in a second part, he was full of red paint.

I wish that they would transfer the Garth Brooks videos called "Garth Brooks" the one released in 1989 on DVD, "Garth Brooks: This is Garth Brooks" the one realeased in 1992 on DVD & "Garth Brooks: Video Collection, Vol. 2" the one released in 1996 on DVD & I hope those three get transfered on DVD & it will be fun to watch it on your laptop.

I loved it & I loved this video!

Here is my pretend story about me & it goes:

I went to a photo gallery & I hit photo & hit OK & when the car drawing came up, I clicked it & got it taken & the photo of me was put on the wall & I was singing in this photo & it was a head shot of me & I smiled. In my song "The Red Strokes" I was wearing a white suit & I was playing the piano & me & the piano were going down into red paint & what happened was the piano got half way down into the paint cause it was too thick & I was afraid it would be the last everyone was going to see of me again.
The paint was freezing cold & I had to hold my breath for five seconds & when me & the piano were shutting down & going under the paint & last the paint was warm, & it was just like diving into a swimming pool.

I really loved & enjoyed this video which I mean the movie of my favourite music videos & it would be cool if "Ain't Goin' Down (Til The Sun Comes Up)" & "Callin' Baton Rouge" would be on this video & it would be about six songs on this video & it will be on the DVD I hope, when it comes out.

I really loved it & enjoyed it!

I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Awesome, January 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Garth Brooks Video Collection, Vol. 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you are a GB fan, you will LOVE this video. As always, Garth put his all into these videos and it shows. In between the videos he talks a little about how each one came about and what it took to make them. What else can I say.....it's great.....just like the Garthman himself!
