Ross Beck's book on the Gartley pattern and trading methods is straight forward and well written; one of the very best trading books I've read. And, I'm not keen on offering over-praise and am intolerant of most trading books where the authors do not take the time nor the interest to write clearly or adequately proof-read their works for errors. Mr. Beck weaves humor, intellect, and wisdom into the pages of salient definitions, methods, applications, and explanations. His command of the subject becomes obvious not by boasting or bloviating, but rather by the breadth and completeness of his book.

Ross Beck does a great job explaining everything you need to know about profitable Gartley techniques in his new book, The Gartley Trading Method. From comparing different Gartley Patterns to using Fibonacci, Ross covers it all. The case studies alone in Chapter 7 are worth the price of this book!

After waiting for some 3 months to get this book after it release I found it a very light publication and from that perspective somewhat disappointing.

It fails to really get across the Gartley Pattern in its bullish and bearish forms. There are better explanations for free elsewhere on the internet.

Ross Beck has written a book to which I wish I had read 4 years ago when I started trading, it would have saved me Thousands of Dollars and years of time. Through the writings of this new book, Ross Beck has removed the complicated misunderstandings of Gartley, Elliott and Gann and combined them into a simply trading method that is easy to understand even for the beginner. The book compliments his low cost video course now available with the opportunity for anyone who wants to succeed in the trading business with a reliable mechanism. This mechanism is one that has reduced the risk of failure and increased the opportunity for success more now then ever before. I know of no better method (mechanism) on the market today that could even remotely compare to this one. Without question, Ross Beck has shared with the world a method of tremendous value and I cannot praise him enough. The author also provides a strategy for entry and exit for this success to happen.

The book was "ok" overall. It does give you a brief psychology on trading and advice to have some kind of money management, but it was confusing at times the way he explained the Gartley pattern. I was disappointed that there were no specific targets to expect at the completion of a Gartley, such as 61.8% retracement of the CD leg, or the strength of where the completion would occur with different Fib. confluence or anything of that sort. I think the book could've been written in couple pages with the rules on what Gartley himself, Carney, and Pesavento regarded as a Gartley and some examples with the charts showing the pattern.

It is a good book as an introduction to the Gartley pattern but will definitely need to read some more information before feeling comfortable.

I finished this book while returning home on a C-130 cargo aircraft. I couldn't put it down, and it sure helped pass the time.

I had taken some of Ross's online seminars a few years ago and wondered if I really needed this book. However, I'm glad I bought it because not only was it a nice review of some of the past discussions, but there are some updates (the difference between a trend reversal Gartley and a trend continuation Gartley) and more material as well (like a section on Gann). It was a great idea to include a chapter with case studies - examples of how Ross's trading methods worked out on several different trades.

Since I was first introduced to the Gartley pattern by Ross in those seminars, I also came across some other traders who trade the Gartley in their own way. I was very pleased to see that Ross included a summary and comparison of the methods of these and others who use the Gartley pattern.

I look forward to Ross's next book!

Very easy to read, I appreciated the history and comparison of original H.M. Gartley's Gartley and modern Gartley. Ross offers specific guidelines to trade the Gartley whether it be a continuation or reversal pattern, and to manage risk once in the trade. Easy to read charts with clear explanations.

When you see the word Gartley thrown around today in trading authors sales pitches , it's just that .Lot of pitch ,little substance. Ross Beck has spent 10 years thoroughly researching the history, formation and journey of the interpretation of Gartley patterns. Fortunately for the reader he has found the most powerful settups across all markets and across all time frames. Whether your a long time trader or new to trading and want to accelerate your learning curve, this book will take you to the next frontier , profits in your trading accounts in today's volatile markets.

I could have done so much better if I had
had this book when I started trading.

Hopefully it will catch on and people
can save the kind of time and money
I wasted, until through Ross Becks teachings,
I was finally able see the bigger picture of
how the market works.

I took forex trading classes last year
from Ross and I am happy he has made this
book available with his old and newest tips in it.

Most people who teach trading
give you bits and pieces. Listen to Ross Beck.
He is a real trader and is dedicated to teaching
forex with integrity and ability.

His work and teachings will put you on solid
ground. I am writing this reveiw because it
might help someone move ahead and bypass all
the useless detours I endured caused by lousy incompetent
forex teachers who just want to show off and
get your money. These people dont teach enough of the
whole picture to keep you safe from bad mistakes.

Ross Beck book gives a good solid safe map to follow.

Written from the point of view of a practitioner. Practical trading method. I found the book instructional and keep it on hand for reference.
