Not for tough jobs,

You have to press down on the button the entire time you are using this knife, which makes it impossible to exert pressure if you are cutting tough material. This is an excellent product if you never cut anything tougher than tape on a box and you want to make sure you have the safest product possible. However, for maximum versatility, I would choose something else.
