5.0 out of 5 stars Miyavi's best, March 2, 2004
This review is from: Garyuu (Audio CD)
Miyavi sure has evolved since his first album, Gagaku. He seemed a bit too shy on his first album, however, this (Galyuu) being his second album, he can express himself! He doesnt' seem afraid anymore! The songs are more rough and agressive and his voice isn't so quiet and he's actually singing. His songs are harder rockwise and his voice sounds so angry. But the album isn't just rock. He mixes the album with a bunch of elements such as acoustic songs, poppylike songs, and just plain old fun rock! Don't miss out on this release. For old fans and new! If you didn't like Gagaku, try Galyuu.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, July 25, 2005
This review is from: Garyuu (Audio CD)
JRock cds I've listened to. There isn't a bad song on the cd but 6, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are the best songs on there. It takes a lot of my willpower not to just repeat those over and over again. His voice is different. Harsh and raspy but then soft and deep, yet never did it pull me out. There is a good range of music on here, to take a break from the clanking and screeching of a few songs there comes soft guitar that still manages to rock and have emotion, everything fits with Miyavi's vocals on this one. If you need a break from Gackt and don't feel like being audio badgered by Dir en Grey, you might want to check out Miyavi's cd Garyuu.
