2.0 out of 5 stars SO! SO!, June 7, 2007
About all I can say is that it gathers all the basic Gas Turbine information one can find in an afternoon on the Internet in one place.

This book is tragically lacking in depth. You'd think spending nearly 100 dollars for a book would buy you a better source of information than this.

5.0 out of 5 stars You just can't get more authoritative - or any clearer - than this, June 17, 2006
The updated third edition of GAS TURBINE HANDBOOK: PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES provides all the fundamental mechanical details any need to understand the operation and application of all kinds of gas turbines. Hardware, typical applications, parameters, controls, troubleshooting - it's all covered in an edition which sports a new chapter on microturbines and new case studies. The author has over thirty years of experience in installing, operating and maintaining equipment and controls for both on- and off-shore environments, is a registered engineers in different states, and has written many articles for technical journals. You just can't get more authoritative - or any clearer - than this.
