The gasket material is fine, but the adhesive is sub-par. I cleaned and sanded the area around my smoker door and followed the directions to a tee. After about 4 months use, the gasket has come loose. I still have some high temp gasket sealer (Rutland Gasket Cement), and I will probably try to reapply soon.

the adhesive is terrible, the gasket itself is okay. avoid putting it near your food until it has fully cured with a couple fires. you will have fiberglass hairs everywhere. it didnt work for my application. i tried to use it to seal the weber lid on my UDS smoker but did not work. probably more of my fault than anything else. but if you did use it i'd recommend the permatex high temperature copper gasket sealer...much better.
