A solid piece of work on gasket sealing.
The complexities of gaskets and gasket sealing can be enormous. Mr. Czernik has taken on this daunting dask and made the grade. The book highlights various target areas in the sealing world of gaskets and offers insight into the same area.

One of the simplest tasks a piping or equipment engineer could ever do - specify a seal, specify a gaskets. As any engineer who has specified with any regularity has learned (the hard way) - one of the most misunderstood tasks. More (gasket) is not (always) better (in fact less usually is). I recommend this book for anyone working in the field.

I was employed by Fel Pro for 13 years, from 1969-1982 as Manager, Product Development, under supervision of Mr. Czernik. I have 4 or 5 patents under Fel-Pro's name, which I am sure Mr. Czernik has referenced in his book, as well as others from persons uncredited. Whatever - sealing is not a science - it is, as we termed it in the profession - 'Reflex Engineering;'. You put a grommet here when somebody complains - or you put a bead there. All the rest is pure BS.
