Learn about the system from the company that invented it.....
This was a great book with a lot of detailed information about the Motronic engine management system. I used this book to help me discern a DTC on a porsche boxster after normal diagnostics failed! Without a reasonable understanding of the processes happening inside the fuel system, it is very hard to fix problems. I recommend reading this book on Motronic systems for...

Disappointing
This book provides only the highest level, circles-and-squares-diagram overview of Motronic systems. If you're expecting to learn about engine management software internals, like I was, you will be very disappointed... like i was.

This was a great book with a lot of detailed information about the Motronic engine management system. I used this book to help me discern a DTC on a porsche boxster after normal diagnostics failed! Without a reasonable understanding of the processes happening inside the fuel system, it is very hard to fix problems. I recommend reading this book on Motronic systems for anyone getting into the automotive field. The amount of Motronic systems installed in European automobiles is enormous, and if you are going to learn, just trust me, you want to learn for the company that developed it in the first place!
