Those who have trouble finding butane fuel locally may want to check with Asian markets. Butane burner stoves are often used for Asian cooking in homes that have electric kitchen ranges. I just bought a 4-pack of the 8 oz. butane fuel cans for $5.49 at an Asian market -- compared to $9.30 + $6.99 shipping through Amazon.

I took the advice of the other reviewers that suggested getting them at your local Asian market. I picked up a pack of 4 for $7.95 and no $7.50 in shipping. If you don't have one nearby though, by all means, pick up these. If they were a Prime seller I would have bought it from them.

I got this one in the Chinese grocery shop in WestMinister ave for 5$ for the 4pack. Even Ace Hardware sells for 4$a piece which makes 16$/4pack.

Amazon is far too expensive.

Gas burns good and clean and was a perfect fit for our single burner stove

I am not a camper but the butane fuel canisters with the compact stove is a wonderful use anywhere burner for inside and outside of the home. Canisters are the size of hair spray cans making them easy to store. Wish I had known about this product years ago. I think it needs to listed with kitchen stuff.

Great price for this item, and we do use it a lot when we fish and camp out.

Little did we know when we purchased these cannisters that they would not only be used by our son when he camped in Colorado - BUT - we would also use them to cook when we were without power and a generator for the first 4 days after Hurricane Ike hit Houston - perfect timing!

I bought an Illex range a few years ago at a flea market, and the seller included four of these butane tanks. These tanks of butane aren't always that easy to come by (or so it seems), but when you do find them, it's wise to get some. You never know when you'll need them. Of course, you need an Illex range, otherwise they're just flammable things that take up space.

I get flack around the house for wanting and buying these, because there is an electric stove in the kitchen, but if the power goes out, or I am out somewhere, it's nice to be self-reliant. Plus, it's a "guy" thing. "Me make fire; ug."

There isn't really a whole lot to say about this product, except to say they are quite convenient, and worth buying, "just in case."

A gift for a friend who loves it. He used it during the recent unexpected snowfall in MA. Power out for two days.
