Protein powder is the easiest and safest way to supplement your diet with essential protein for building and keeping muscle. I swear by it. I bought a 5 lb tub of Myofusion Chocolate-Peanut Butter from [...] (hey, it was on sale and in this economy it pays to shop) to kick the tires and try it out. Here's the skinny:

THE PROS: First, it blends easily and completely - no graininess or clumping. Second, it's consistency is more like ON Casein whey in that it tends to thicken up to a nice "shake"-like consistency which makes it more "satisfying" from a fullness standpoint. Third it has an extra gram of protein (25 per scoop) - 1 more than ON Gold Standard Whey and 2 more than EAS 100% Whey. Fourth, it's priced very competitively against other whey products. Fifth, it's Gaspari, which means it's engineered/formulated for body builders' needs - a good thing if you happen to be one.

THE CONS: First - BCAA's are not part of the formula - at least as far as I could tell from the list of ingredients. I usually add BCAA powder (ON product) anyway to my shakes, but I like to have them in the whey mix in case I've run out of the powder or I'm in a rush and don't have time to add them. This is a minor issue. Second - and here's the biggest - the taste Really Needs Work. There's no detectable peanut butter flavor at all and the "chocolate" had almost a medicine taste. It didn't taste terrible, but it's neither chocolate nor peanut butter. To get around the taste, I added plain non-fat yogurt, real peanut butter (Bell Plantations PB2 powdered product works great, too, and has virtually no fat), and a banana. Gaspari - go back to the kitchen and fix this. Please.

Taste of this particular version aside - I like Myofusion, and I will buy it again - only in a different flavor. ON's Gold Standard Double-Chocolate (do you see a pattern here?) has been my go-to protein powder for years, and I'm back on it now (yes, an Amazon purchase). After Myofusion, however, I must say that the ON Gold Standard Whey's consistency seems surprisingly "thin" compared to the Myofusion. Lift, live and learn, I always say.

Addendum 7/7/2010 - The $43.40 price for this supplement is out of line, given the taste issues. I just ordered a 5 lb tub of the Milk Chocolate version of this Gaspari product from Amazon and paid $35.94 with Amazon Prime expedited shipping. Both products are shipped by DAB Nutrition and fulfilled by Amazon, so the price difference makes no sense. Unless you hate chocolate, it sounds like a no-brainer to me as to which version of this product you'll want to go with. My comments on the Milk Chocolate version will be up shortly after I've had a chance to "kick the tires".

As someone who has been lifting weights for a while now ive tried a variety of different protein powders, all of which have their ups and downs. With that in mind, Myofusion by Gaspari has more of the former; the protein powder is one of the highest caliber on the market. It performs very, very well in almost every category.

Taste: This seems to be the most important aspect in protein powders as the taste can vary significantly and can make or break a powder. I can honestly say that with Myofusion i look forward to coming home from my workout and taking my protein shake-before it used to be a chore to down a protein shake, now it is enjoyable. Id say the taste is comparable to powdered chocolate milk albeit a tad less sweet. This is by far the BEST tasting powder on the market and i needed to say this in order to correct the first review up here which is simply contrary to every opinion ive come across online. If you are buying Myofusion based on taste-go right ahead and order the product. You wont be disappointed.

Mixture: Mixture quality is above average id say, but nothing exceptional. If ypou have any kind of based shaker bottle a decent shake will completely mix the powder into the shake without chunks or protein debris like cheaper brands will give you. Also i like that the shake is not very thick but rather has the consistency of whole milk when mixed with water which is very nice and allows for easy drinking.

Nutrition: Myofusion will give you 25g of whey protein. For those who do not know what whey protein is, it is a type of protein derived from milk proteins (milk is made up of whey and casein proteins). They isolate the whey and process it into a powder. Whey is widely used in the fitness world because it has the BEST digestibility rate and efficiency. In other words, whey protein is digested the fastest out of all protein forms, and the amino acids in whey are able to be used by the body without waste. This is helpful in the fitness world because it is believed that after a workout the muscles require immediate nourishment of amino acids, and whey will supply that the quickest. In addition,, the efficiency, or the bodes ability to use the protein is also the highest. Before whey was isolated, the scale measuring digestibility was based on 0-1, whereas was the digestibility of egg album. When whey was introduced, it topped the scale at around 1.25. Myofusion supplies this optimum protein form.However, it does so with 157 calories per serving, which runs on the high end of protein powders. Most powders will run around 100-130 calories per scoop, so 160 is a little above average. It seems rather expected as the superb taste has to come from somewhere, however it should be pointed out. Myofusion also lacks the vitamins and mineral content, along with fiber, that products such as muscle milk offer.

Overall, you will not be disappointed with the product. Strongly would recommend to anyone looking for a protein powder that is delicious and at the same time healthy.

Love this stuff , over the years i tried so many kinds of protein , and with ONLY 5 grams of Carbs, Nothing tasted as good , honestly nothing even came close to being as tasty . 25gs of protein per scoop is actually average now a days but trust me when i say :" I CAN LIVE ON THIS STUFF " .

Now for the workout aspect of this , protein is protein no matter which form u consume , this is a fast absorbent protein so its perfect for after a workout , so please NOTE its not a Night time protein , i Noticed mass gains but lets be honest , its NOT the the Protein shake that caused it , it helped and its a perfectly balanced meal but shakes dont work magic , its the way you workout/ how and when and how much to eat / sleep ...

In my job i work an average of 12 intense hours/ day , So this is how this Protein shake helps me , its hard to find the time and heat up a steak or a chicken rice meal in my job (lol) and you might say every protein does that and i will say YES , but nothing tastes as good doing it .....

The Best protein out there! My favorite protein, period! taste, consistency, results, the whole nine. Tried chocolate, chocolate peantbutter, and strawberry and my favorite is milk chocolate.

I tried Myofusion for about a month. It made me feel bloated, and frequently gave me stomach problems. I didn't notice much muscle gain, but I did notice some nice fat gain. But then again, it was hard to tell with all the bloating going on.

It may be a good product if you don't have stomach issues with it. I wasn't able to get past the bloating and stomach issues, however.

Perhaps it was the casein that didn't agree with me, or the egg albumin, or the flax seed oil, or whatever. There's a lot of extra stuff in here that could have been the culprit. I'll just take the whey, thank you very much. I take fish oil separately to get my Omega-3's, so I don't need it in my protein shake as well.

I have taken whey in the past (particularly ON Gold Standard and Solgar) and have not had stomach problems. If the thickness and extra stuff in here doesn't bother you, go for it. The consistency is WAY too thick for my liking. It was thick enough mixing it in water, let alone mixing it in milk.

So many people are down on this product because there's no bcaas. Lol @ this "fact". The real fact is that protein in a powder or whole food is bcaas... meaning if you take in protein your body breaks it down into the amino acids. No protein powder has added animos. In fact they all have about the same given a certain amount of protein.

I enjoyed this protein. I have tried several brands and Myofusion would perhaps fall in my top 3 in terms of results, price, and usefulness. The texture is nice (very similar to other blended proteins) and it smells amazing. I normally don't look for taste when it comes to my protein powder of choice; I look more for results in a supplement. However, it does not hurt that this protein tastes amazing. I tried the Banana flavor, but other flavors have all received rave reviews for their sweet savor.

I used Myofusion for about a week and a half before I noticed some results in my frame. I had more vascularity, maintained a relatively good pump after consumption, and I actually became leaner. Gaspari has an amazing line of products.

My only drawback with this protein concerns my initial reaction to taking it. I am lactose intolerant, and I'm unsure if that has anything to do with it, but I had very unpleasant stomach problems for about a week after taking Myofusion. I was suspicious if it was the protein shake itself that caused the stomach aches, until I laid off of it for two days, then got back on it and noticed the same stomach problems. Again, it may have to do with the fact that I am lactose intolerant and this unique blend of proteins fused into one did not sit well with my stomach.

Bottom Line: I highly, highly recommend this protein. It's extremely economical, and very versatile: you can literally take this protein blend anytime of the day (although whey protein alone is ideal for post-workout). It is worth a try and certainly worth the money. Gaspari wins again with Myofusion.

I have been taking myofusion for over a year. Rotating Stawberries and Creme with chocolate (purchased review).When I got this tub of Milk chocolate the product definatley seemed different from my previous tubs. Plus the way it reacted to my digestive track convinced me this product was either a bad tub from Gaspari or ?
I did contact the seller, they want me to RMA it.
Guess Ill pay the extra $10 at GNC as oposed to the hassle

Title says all. Great blend of proteins from various sources. Has all the basics of a protein shake and it mixes well and tastes great. What more do you need?

I purchased the chocolate mint, but the order says 180 capsules instead of 5lbs. Nowhere else online does it say myofusion comes in capsules. is this an error on the order page? i will correct rating upon receipt of 5lb protein powder package.
