Usually when I study a textbook, I highlight the key passages in the text. In this clearly written book, almost the whole text is highlighted because it's nothing but key information without any fillers or fluff. It is basic, to the point, clear and informative. It doesn't go into minute detail about anything, but is like an overview of the GI system--its anatomy, function, disorders and treatment. There are review questions given which allows you to measure your understanding of the content. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a basic understanding of the workings of the gastrointestinal system.
