This book is intriguing and utterly necessary because it presents a vision that is truly against the tide of current thought. I have always believed that we in the West have too much of the light within us, and not enough of the wisdom and beauty of the dark. This book is very much written from the same perspective, offering chants and meditations into the realm of darkness. In a society that is oversaturated with the effects of Judeo-Christian brainwashing, we need works to remind us that the darkness is NOT synonymous with "evil." This is quite a formidable task for any one work, because even in movies such as "Star Wars," the "dark side" was presented in just such a way. But Michael W. Ford boldly catalogues the journey that we initiates must take in order to achieve a more powerful spirituality -- one that is predicated on sorcery, magic, and inner adventures. Read this lucious work with an utterly open mind!

Although a smallish text, it is serious and detailed and quite frightening in what it presents. Reminds me of the simon necronomicon but a far more visceral and ghoulish text, and on the plus side it is actually more workable than the necronomicon and indeed there is no doubt over the provenance - This is Ford's adaptation of persian sorcery.

Gates of Dozak is a great book, the rituals inside the book work very well. It's a wonderful book like all the books of Michael. W. Ford.

Cool approach to the dark arts, really enjoyed it but a little short, I read it in a couple of hours
