Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

The Holy City has been examined from seemingly every possible angle, but this video finds a new point of view: The Gates of Jerusalem. Join host Richard Kiley as he explores the city sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims by passing through its eight gates. Weaving contemporary footage, dramatizations of biblical and historical events, and diagrams of ancient structures, the program sheds new light on this dynamic, living city. The beautiful Damascus gate, the imposing King Herod's Gate, and the historically charged Golden Gate all share in the traditions of the People of the Book, and the writers and cinematographers have taken great care to show them in their simple glory. The importance of the city, its dwellers, and their daily lives to millennia of history is made plain and the viewer will find a new appreciation for this old holy place. --Rob Lightner

If you have ever wondered what the real truth is about Jerusalem - 3,000 years of history and conflict, this two part series is it! I watched absolutely spellbound - couldn't take my eyes off it. I have been to the Holy City, but never did I see so much - a 100% recommendation!

This is a wonderful film about the gates of Jerusalem. It is very educational, and informational. It is a film to be watched over and over. This is a film that I would buy for many friends and family members.
