Features:
The 16MB internal memory with SD/MMC expansion slot (the size of a postage stamp) allows you to expand the memory capacity so that you can store more of your photos and video clips. And when you are ready, the images can be easily transferred to your PC to share with family and friends.
Shoot through the optical viewfinder, or compose using the bright 1.5" TFT LCD display, which shows information about the shooting conditions (image size, flash, etc.). The built-in LCD panel allows you to see the image you've taken, which will show you what portion of the scene will be captured by the camera.
The flash and self-timer are convenient utilities you can use when taking still image pictures. Use the flash if lighting is not adequate and the self-timer function for taking self-portrait photos. For those with unsteady hands, you can attach a tripod to (optional) to minimize camera movement and ensure optimal image quality, particularly while taking self-portraits, longer movies or in macro mode.
White Balance lets you set the camera's color temperature based on your lighting environment. If you know the color conditions of your shooting environment, such as the Sunny (bright), Cloudy (dim), Fluorescent (high color condition) and Tungsten (low color condition) situations, you can select the mode you consider most appropriate.
Want more than still pictures? The DC-T23 also has a movie mode that lets you shoot video clips. This popular feature lets you record short bursts of video footage at a resolution of 320×240 pixels. And that's not all! This camera can also act as a PC camera, allowing you to hold a videoconference and talk to business associates over the Internet or conduct real-time conversations with friends or family. The DC-T23 includes two alkaline batteries.

I bought this camera as a graduation gift, so I wasn't able to test it during Gateway's 15 day full refund policy. As soon as it was used, it said the battery was low on brand new batteries. The representative at Gateway said they could replace the product (which took 3 months). The replacement did the exact same thing as the original, so I called Gateway again. This time, after talking to a supervisor, I was offered an upgrade to the Gateway M42. I have not gotten this yet, but I am waiting to see if this camera has the same issue.

Our camera turns off in mid use. We had it for 20 days and Gaetway would not replace. I went to the GAteway store and tehy siad they had a lot of probelms with this camera. They would fix it if I paid the cost of shipping. I have learned my lesson never to shop at Gateway.

Super simple, great value!,

This is a great little camera. Despite the other reviewers' comments, I never had any issues with it. It's so small and stylish, and it takes great shots, even in motion. The zoom isn't fantastic, but there's some pretty neat visual options including black & white, sepia and a really funky filter called sunburst. My DC-T23 was stolen and I replaced it with a Olympus D-425; the latter was $100 more and is totally inferior in quality, despite the higher megapixels. I'm trying to buy another Gateway DC-T23 online...wish me luck!
