I have had my Gateway EC14D07U netbook for one week and absolutely love it. Display: Great, Audio: Great, Performance: Impressive. I have found no issues so far and the unit doesn't even get Hot like most netbooks and laptops. I have had no problems with multi tasking this unit. Streaming music videos while broadcasting out on Bluetooth dongle (I purchased separately)and surfing no less than 7 web pages (IE) and two web pages (Safari). I highly recommend this netbook for any power user wanting a lightweight powerhouse.

I was looking for a travel notebook with Intel core 2 duo and DVD drive and I preorderd the new sony Z series with Intel Core i7-620M and canceled it after this came out with 1/3 of the price of sony. OK, sony has TPM, Blue-ray drive, Fingerprint reader, and SSD with Raid 0. But, if you are looking for a cheap small and light notebook with DVD drive, this should be your first choice. Works great with 5400 RPM drive that come with it. But, I replaced it with 128GB Corsair CMFSSD-128GBG2D SSD and it rocks. Not recommended for gaming. Only thing I don't like is the glossy finish which attract fingerprints.

Just bought the last one at B&H in NYC. As small as a netbook, but with power and a DVD player. Seems well made and no problems so far.
