I purchased this monitor to replace my old 21" VX1100 CRT which, quite literally, took a dive. I am very pleased with it. First of all, MAN it freed up a lot of desk space! More space for empty cans of Jolt ;) The clarity is outstanding (naturally, since it's an LCD) far better than my 21" CRT even at lower resolutions. I have had it since the model came out about 2 1/2 years ago, and all pixels still work. It should also be noted that it's fairly durable. On several occasions I have accidentally smacked the screen with my paper-holding rack thing which is on a swinging arm, and it still works perfectly. One of the things I like about it is the styling. The silver and black really looks great and it isn't molded in a design as tacky as some other flat panels, like Dell's. I'd like a larger size, but the 17" is very affordable and very functional. Great product.
