I bought this at the end of July and am most pleased with it. I play a lot of poker and do a lot of word processing and am relieved to find that all the software/delay/shutdown problems I used to have are now definitely things of the past. The RAM is sufficient for just about anything a normal person needs to do; although, I'm not a very normal case as I often have 8 tables of poker, Word, Mozilla, Real Player, and Internet Explorer open at once which makes this item a multi-tasker's dream. With Gateway, I think you get some serious bang for your buck. I went in their bovine direction due to my being disillusioned with Dell and it's worked out for the best.
