pretty good for the money at the time it was built
Unlike the previous comment, this is not garbage. We have been using this since it came out and have never had any problems. The manufacturing date is August 2008...it is not a high-performance machine, but it wasn't built to be. It handles everyday use just fine.

Gateway Junk
This laptop is garbage: It's slow, takes forever to boot, can't run much on it graphics wise, Vista's a nightmare on it, the screen is not very good and it's dull, the sounds sucks, the camera is terrible, the track-pad is junk, the laptop heats up super hot to do simple apps, it freezes constantly and the piece of crap died totally of hard drive failure in 9 months of...
