This CD has some great songs that everyone is familiar with like 'Puff (The Magic Dragon)', 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', and more. It also has some songs your maybe havent heard, either way they are all fun. Some of the best songs are 'Chicken Soup With Rice', 'I'm My Own Grandpa', 'Nine Planets', 'Car Car', etc. I haven't read all of the liner notes but for each song there is a paragraph desription of the song or the artist, but lyrics are not provided. I dont know all the places you can find this CD but I know that some Starbucks locations carry it; (thats where I got mine). The tracklist is as follows...

1.

The Rainbow Connection, SARAH MCLACHLAN

2.

Freight Train, DAVID GRISMAN

3.

Puff (The Magic Dragon), PETER, PAUL AND MARY

4.

Froggie Went A-Courtin', BOB DYLAN

This collection features new versions of classic kids songs (Rainbow Connection, Car Car), classic kids songs (Puff the Magic Dragon, Free To Be, Chicken Soup with Rice, This Train), songs by great kid-focused artists (Justin Roberts and Dan Zanes) and the truly sublime - Willie Nelson's melancholy take on "I'm My Own Grandpa" and Bob Dylan's growly "Froggie Went A-Courtin'" It is a favorite in our house and on car trips and we love to sing along (especially on "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", which gets our 5-year old howling in the back seat)! A great collection I can't imagine we'll ever get tired of!

My kids age 3 and 1 LOVE this CD. We got it as a gift for Christmas bought from Starbucks. It has some fun train songs which my 3 year old loves and songs that I grew up with that I forgot until I heard them again - We've listened to it non stop! Even my 1 year old sings along - Funny, toe-tapping, great artisits, and educational too! You can't go wrong. If you don't like this - you need to loosen up, get on the floor and be a kid again!

I purchased this CD when my son was about 3 and we love it - including my teen!

The songs are great to sing and play in the car and pleasing to all! I'm sending it to school with my son this week because of the "9 Planets" and they are doing solar systems!

"The Rainbow Connection" was a song my dad would sing and it brings back so many memories, as well as "Puff, the Magic Dragon" from when I was young.

I purchased this CD in Starbucks years ago, when my 1st son was just a few months old. He is now 4 and it is his (and his 2 year old brothers') favorite music.

I also enjoy it, truth be told. Anything ANYTHING is better than those cheesy kid songs that are sung by groups of kids or -even worse- purple dinosaurs or the like. That type of kids music grates my nerves. This is a great CD that even the grandparents wont dread.

This CD is worth the price even if you only like a couple of songs. But my class loves them all, especially "Nine Planets," "Drivin' in My car," and "Puff, the Magic Dragon." On the last day of school before vacation, we made our own "Love Train" and sang and danced around the room!

This CD was given to my sons as a Christmas gift and has become our unlikely favourite. Songs that mom and dad remember plus some new ones too. My son took it to kindergarten for their Solar System unit (song 9 planets) and it became a class hit and I bought them a copy too!
