Fantastic,

Flawless double album - a feat rarely accomplished by anyone who attempts to put so many songs together in one release. CD 1 has more electric energy and faster tempos, CD 2 is no less energetic but more subtle and introspective. Found out about Amaral after learning that Bob Dylan in 2007-2008 picked them to do a Spanish cover of his anthem "Hard Rain's Gonna Fall."

Great Spanish Band,

Fantastic album by a very popular band in Spain (from Zaragoza.) Great music. Diverse sounds within this 2-disc set. I have heard people compare them to another well-known Spanish band called Oreja de Van Gogh however I find OVG too poppy. I think Amaral has a much more interesting sound. Highly recommended.

What you get when intelligent, sophisticated people make music...,

This album is very, very good. The songs are well written, arranged and produced, and the band pulls off a 19-song double CD without a trace of repetitiveness.
Eva Amaral's voice, one of my two all-time favorite female pop voices, is, incredibly, better than before. Her tone is richer and her melodies sweeter. Her use of two different voices on the final song, Concorde, is a sublime artistic touch that actually becomes more impactful upon repeated listening. One final comment on the lyrics: Although I don't know whether Eva Amaral or Juan Aguirre share lyric-writing jointly, switch off, or whether one person does most of the writing most of the time, I do know that the quality of the lyrics is extremely good, at times pure poetry, and very near in quality to the best lyricists of whom I'm aware - accessible, subtle, layered and leaving the listener thinking about the song after it's finished.
