Best drum hardware bag - PERIOD,

This is simply the best hardware bag I've ever used. I've tried a Kaces bag that gave up on me after a year's use and then went cheap and went to Academy sporting goods and bought a Plano brand pastic trunk/case with wheels, but that only lasted me about a year and half before the wheels started breaking off. I finally decided to use some gig money and got this guy. WOW. I was a little worried that after starting to stack, or more like stand up my stands in the bag that it was going to tip over because it leans back. Nope. With all my stands, attachments, bags and other misc hardware, this stand stands straight up and rolls so easily. Now I don't have to keep bending over to pack my stands after a gig, I can just start stading them up in this stand-up bag. All of the pockets are very handy and the zippers appear/feel to be quite sturdy. There are even some straps on the back side where I place my rolled-up rug. All-in-all, this bag is everything I had hoped for and then some.
Free shipping is also great from Amazon, and it arrived when they said it would...which was just in time for a Friday night gig. I recommend any drummer looking for a more sturdy, more reliable hardware bag to give this one a shot. I doubt anyone could be disappoinged with this.

I usually don't review stuff, but this bag is the greatest! It's perfectly balanced and stands upright when loading and unloading stands. No bending over to pack up at the end of a long night! Construction is excellent and it has room for plenty of everything. The only negative is that there is no external pocket that fits a bass pedal. But the for me the pedal does fit in the top of the main bag nested with the stands. Best $$ I have spent in quite a while..

The Best Drum Hardware Case Ever Made,
By
This review is from: Gator Cases Steel Frame Rolling Drum Hardware Bag With 100 Pound Capacity (Black) (Electronics)
I've gone through several hardware cases by Beato; all of which have ultimately torn, had their zippers break, were shown to be poorly constructed, and when I asked them to replace their unusable bags and honor their lifetime warranty, I was met upon deaf ears.
That led me to Gator, and to the incredible innovation of this "Drumcart". The ideal combination of a solidly constructed drum hardware bag melded to a dolly is brilliant. I've had mine for years now and it's still going strong - despite many, many gigs and miles on the road bouncing around in a trailer. It's incredibly easy to get all of my cymbal stands in and out quickly, and the pockets are all convenient and helpful for storing accessories and extensions. Every drummer should have one of these - period. If mine ever gives up the ghost (which I don't see happening any time soon), I'll be first in line to buy another. "Bravo!" to the Gator Cases folks for creating such an elegant solution!

I looked around for a LONG time for a decent bag to haul my photo studio gear on the road. This thing resembles an over-sized golf-bag that fully closes. It's basically a well made bag mounted to a 2-wheel dolly made from 3/4" tube steel. The wheels look like XL "rollerblade" wheels.
Two background stands (36" high collapsed), two flash stands (44" high collapsed), two umbrellas, backdrop, plus extension chords, clamps, etc. You could fit the flash heads in the bag as well, but not with a lot of padding. I put the flash heads and reflectors in a padded Pelican case. There's still more room in the bag, so I could actually fit four more stands. I use one side pocket for the extension chords, another for clamps and clips, another for tape and supplies, and the top pocket for notepads, pens, etc. The only thing that will not fit inside is the 3-piece backdrop crosspiece. The rear outside of the bag has two straps. I Velcro the three sections together and use these two straps to secure them. The sections are protected by the steel tubing of the cart section. Try and keep the heavier stuff in the bottom of the bag. It's tall, so if you get too top heavy it will tip while you move it. It's perfect for my remote photo shoots. You have plenty of choices if you have to pick the bag up. There are two large handles, plus the steel base and top of the cart can also be used as handles. I have about 45 lbs of stuff in the bag and can pick it up and put it in the back of my Honda Pilot easily. The handles are well placed and reinforced, and the cart acts as support for the base of the bag while horizontal. The only thing I wish it had was wheel locks. While horizontal, the bag will roll around the back of your vehicle unless you secure it.

This has to be one of the best investments I've ever made. I am able to put all of my cymbal stands in this case and transport them to and from my jeep with ease. I do need a little help to lift it into the back of the jeep, but that beats making half a dozen trips, placing the stands on top of each other as they rattle around the back, not to mention the saving in pinched skin. There are two long pockets on the sides large enough to handle my snare stand. Also a pocket on top. The bottom of the bag is solid so you don't have to worry about stands poking through the bottom of the bag, and the bag will stand up by its self while you load it. Great Bag... I would recommend it highly!!!! Buy this bag and save your back and hands!!!

I love this thing. I just take the tom/cymbal arms off, fit them in the side pockets, fold up the legs and drop'em in. The hat stand has the rod sticking up a bit, but there's enough play in the top to accommodate.
This has taken 10-15 minutes off my set up/tear down time, depending on how much kit I bring. Durability isn't known just yet, but I use it minimum once a week, occasionally 2-3 times. I've had it about a month and so far, so good. It doesn't take the beating the last one took because it stands up and the weight is balanced on the hand truck, not a bunch of hardware pieces pushing on the side fabric. When it dies, I'll get another |
