Unable to find a bag that was large enough locally, I looked on line for a company that offered gig bags for an acoustic bass. After finding a Gator bag that would work, I turned to Amazon. They had it, shipped fast, received in three days. My JR1000 fits with room to spare. This bag is also MUCH nicer than anything I looked at while shopping the local music stores.

Product arrived on time and fits my acoustic bass guitar like a glove. It has a handy pocket in the front for picks cables etc.

With this gig bag, you pretty much get what you pay for. I would say this is the bare minimum protection you'd want for your instrument to throw in the back of the car to take to a jam. I would not risk a high dollar instrument in this bag. Just barely fits my Dean EABFL, the bass is almost too tall and is a pretty tight fit.

Good product for the price. Cheap but effective. Zippers work fine plus a pocket for music. Gator makes quality cases.

I returned it. For the price it's just adequate, I guess I expected more. The padding is real thin and there's only one backpack strap, so when you put it on, your guitar is sticking out diagonally and I keep bumping the guitar into walls and people. Over all poor quality. I'm going to spend a little more and get a better product because "what you pay is what you get".

I bought this case for my Tacoma Thunderchief Acoustic Bass Guitar (4 string)

I have a hardshell case, but wanted a soft case for a quick jam situation that didn't need all the protection. For those of you who have this bass you know it's a big boy and the case makes it even bigger...kinda awkward when carrying around.

measurements were approx
- 49 1/2 " full length top to bottom
- 22" body top to bottom
- 17 1/2" lower bout width

The bass fit in this soft gig bag no problem, i've been searching for a while i'm happy i decided to grab this, especially for the reasonable price. If you're truly worried about getting your bass all dinged up or "hurt" no gig bag will really full protect it. This one is sufficient for your minor bumps and bruises, but for the rest....GET A HARDSHELL CASE.

with that said, great bag, does the job

It's a good bag and the padding is adequate for everyday use--probably not the sort of thing you'd want for heavy use or travel. It's just about the only gig bag we've found that fits an acoustic bass. Be warned--don't load up the pocket with heavy stuff like ring binders or pedals--we're on the second of these bags now because my husband did just that with the first. Adding a second luggage strap (we cannibalized the one from the broken bag) makes it backpackable and less prone to get stuck in doorways. Turn the hooks away from your body so they don't get pressed open and cause a strap to come off while you're wearing it.

Overall, good construction, durable nylon, and appropriately placed handle. Backpack 'sling' strap isn't awesome - functional but not comfortable. In line with the Fender series at the same price point, with less padding and pockets. Same material otherwise. This thing folds up easily for storage and is pretty much a basic protective bag - not nearly as durable as a case, but much better than the nylon-only ~$20 one might find rolled into a box in a retail store. It seems best for ease of transport with minimal protection - good for a car trip, but not for a long haul.

Sadly, a little big for my Ibanez AEB-10, with lots of extra space around the body, and about 3 inches too long. This is already a pretty long bass, my thoughts are that this bag is ideal for a 'big' acoustic.
