I bought this for my son to carry his saxophone to school. He is in sixth grade and walks about a mile and a half to school. His old hard case was cumbersome, heavy, and did not stay closed securely. The Gator case has numerous handles, which allows my son to hold it in different ways as he walks. It also has a shoulder strap. It is very well made and seems to be very tough. It is well padded and protects the instrument well. My only complaint is that it is not much lighter than the hard case. Still, the shoulder strap and various handles makes his commute much easier.

I've had a couple of these for the last few years and these are a great buy in a new lightweight case that still protects the instrument. They will fit right or left bell key saxophones and are a great choice for big belled horn (Keilwerth, Buescher 400.) I don't think anyone else makes a case, not a gig bag, this light and certainly not for this kind of money.

For what it's worth: 84.95 seems to be the going price both here and on eBay but the shipping is less here.

I feel I am always taking a chance when purchasing something online, but this saxophone case is fabulous! It fits the alto perfectly and the spacious outer pockets fit all the needed paraphenalia.

We bought this case for my 6th grader to carry his alto sax to and from school. It is lightweight and makes it easy for him to carry. The problem is that it is not sturdy enough. The zipper and handles are on the back side of the case. This makes the bell of the sax an easy target. The instrument has already been banged up and we are not even sure how it happened. I can't afford to repair the sax every few months because the case is not sturdy enough. It is lightweight, but I wish that I had bought a more heavy duty case.

This is a very utility bag, which can hold many things. I put six of my mouthpiece in the front pouch, the cleaning kit, some reeds, and there r plenty of rooms.

Aesthetic-wise, I also got a lot of praises when carrying the bag. The experience was perfect until about three months later the seam on the shoulder strap came loose, as the result I had to go to a tailor store to re-seam the strap. If I had not paid attention to the loose strap, Imagine I could have dropped my saxophone while carrying, and damage it. I wonder if anyone else had similar experience?

The case was the perfect gift for a 12 year old grandson that began lessons and is playing sax in middle school band. Having purchased a used instrument without a case, this is what he asked for at Christmas time as his gift. I was pleased to purchase it for him. He will continue to perform in high school band next year as well.
