These do the job but tear easily in the heavy automotive work I am usually doing. They do save wear and tear on the hands though. You also get more tactile response versus thicker "mechanics" gloves. If I put a piece of duct tape over the thumb a pair lasts all the way through a project.

Good enough for house, yard work when I need some protection against breaking skin or chemicals. Have not yet break on me yet, much better than the medical gloves.

I like these gloves because they are tough for working around tools, paint and other chemicals. They lasted a lot longer before wearing out or breaking at the thumbs and forefingers.

The only drawback is the medium size is a tight fit, somewhat smaller than typical for a size medium. Next time I will order a large in that brand.

I use nitrile gloves for increasing my grip when crafting, and to protect my skin from fabric dyes and sizing. One thing I do involves pulling fabric casings over sticks of pipe insulation, another, pulling casings over foam cut-outs; and these gloves increase my grip enough that it really saves my hands. AND they don't tear until I have used them for three or four days (that's a LOT of pieces made--about 300). I add a little cornstarch when I re-use them as they don't slide on quite as easily as when fresh, and this seems to be what eventually causes them to rip. I have tried many, many kinds of nitrile gloves. and these are, for my purposes, by far the best. (January 2010)

Update, December 2010: I have purchased a second box of these gloves. They still work very well, but this box seems to be tearing a little more easily. I am only getting a second day of use from each pair, or about 150 pieces assembled.I have filed my fingernails down from short to VERY short, and this seems to help. Despite this small bobble, these are still the best crafting gloves I have found over the past decade.

These gloves are super tough.
BUT, they are vacuumed and packed so tightly that it takes some work to get them separated from other gloves, then you have to blow them up like a balloon to get the fingers un-stuck and opened up. And because they are not powdered, they are a real fight to get onto your hands without ripping the glove apart. Part of the problem for me was receiving size Medium but needing a size Large - it just intensified the problem of getting them onto my hands in one piece.
Overall, these are good gloves and tough, but for tough gloves that are easier to use, I can highly recommend Liberty 2008W Nitrile Industrial Glove, Powdered, Disposable, 8 mil Thickness.
