Formatted as sheet music songs (not arias), these excerpts from the opera by John Harbison--one of America's greatest living composers--ought to be in every singer's repertory. Getting copyright for actual Gatsby-era tunes was too expensive, so Harbison created his own (he played jazz in his younger days).
