1.0 out of 5 stars worthless
I bought the 12 gauge bore sight. The laser doesn't actually point straight so every time I put the bore sight in it pointed a different direction. At 15 feet the laser was off by about 8 inches.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what it should do., September 27, 2011

It let me bench zero my shotgun with no hitch. As stated, first round on target.

One trick: Screw the bottom on all the way, then un-screw it until it goes off and then an extra quarter of a turn. When you press on the plate it should come back on. Then load it up and with the slide closed it will light. wonder if that's what was happening with the guy who couldn't get it to point the same: he didn't have the slide closed).

Anyway, excellent product. Will save me a lot of time and ammo as I'm going to be playing with the configuration of my shotgun a lot.

Michael

Sighted my 870 in at 30 yards with it and slugs hit at point of aim with my Burris Fast fire. Saves ammo.
Does the job. Like it.

Did what it was suppose to do, just make sure U load the cartidge by hand cause it will jam when cocking it like a real cartridge (in a Mossberg 500, not sure on other brands)

It's ok for bore-siteing out to 25 yrds. anything further than that, the laser scatters too much and you can't see it on the target which doesn't make that much sense as it's a "laser".

Worked great the first time. I did the quarter turn thing as suggested and racked it in. Zeroed my sight in and unloaded it and did it again. Dead on so I was happy with it. In my 870, it will extract like a regular shell (it almost popped out of my hand and on to the floor!) so be careful. For a tactical shotgun, this is all you need I would think.

its exactly what i need for an accurate slug shooter up to 50 yards. After/up to that its all luck. But combined with a pushbutton laser on the forend a red dot and this boresighter you couldnt be more accurate for your money. I have a winny 1300 defender and for my system (for all u tnp'rs) i couldnt get better for the money.

Ordered a 12 ga & 20 ga of these. Product is just as shown. No real issues. As noted there is no on / off switch so you need to unscrew the cap to turn it off. As well as also noted in other reviews the laser does not sit 100% dead center and straight in the chamber, that being said I feel it is good enough for a shot gun at trap range distances. I guess that might be a issue if you were trying to sight in at longer range. It is working for what I wanted which was to practice swings / tracking with the gun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Arrived as advertised, not top quality, good for price., July 12, 2011

You can tell it was sloppy in my 887, as shaking the gun would move the dot around. You would aim up a sight, cycle this round out and back in and the dot would be off.

Still, it's a shotgun, so it will work.

Batteries included only last a few minutes. I knew they would be weak, but after getting it ready I had to remove the cable lock, and this almost ran out the batteries.

Still, good enough, works as advertised.
