Overflowing with real-world details describing how each sign acts, this book puts the vagueness of other astrology books to shame. Much of Gay Astrology's delightfully edgey humor comes from its author's wry view of each sign's behavior in settings ranging from the bedroom to the gym to the boardroom to the laundromat. (The best part is "5-faces" where each sign is re-imagined as a Drag Queen, B&D Top, Guppy, Activist, and Gym Bunny. You have to read it to believe it.) In the second half of the book, author Yawney looks at how the signs act within couples using every possible combination. Most books do this these days, but none with the wit and insight this one does. Read this one and you will have fun, but you will learn something about yourself and others, too.

This is it. Finally, an astrology book that isn't full of weak-tea platitudes and tired generalities: Gay Astrology is packed with insight, great turns of phrase, and solid readings. Yawney clearly knows his stuff, and tells it like it is. Refreshingly intelligent. Yet another author I would love to meet... I bet he's a Pisces.

As a fan of Michael Yawney's wonderfully witty and insightful astrology writing, I was delighted to find this book. And as usual, his work here is hip, sharp, and wildly humorous, but dead on in its analysis. And although this book is specifically focused on the star signs of gay people and gay relationships, you'll be amazed at how accurate its readings are for straight people and relationships as well. I really can't recommend it more highly...buy it!

I realize by all means that pop astrology (the stuff you read in the newspapers), is basically not worth the paper its printed on. This book is cheap, and incredible in every sense of the word. I have had 17 out of 17 people read their apropriate sign, and EVERY single one of them either put it down, or were completely blown away, by how incredibly true this book is.
I never understood why my ex was such a jerk, until I read this book, (He was an Aries), it makes so much sense.

This book pulls no punches. It tells you exactly everything about your sign and how the signs get along. It is the best book geared to gay men and their relationships. It offers insights and let's you know the challenges that lie in your relationship.

This book is amazing.i was so sick of the newspaper and magazines just having boy and girl relationship. ITS AMAZING !!! JUST SPEECHLESS.All i can say is that its great.two thumbs up to the author. The only part i didnt like is when they talk about aries and leo compatability.HE calls us dramaqueenz (TRUE) but still didnt like it he said he had to vent which i found pretty funny.LOVED IT!!

Do the stars care who we love? Only fundamentalists and fools would answer yes. I picked up Yawney's "Gay Astrology" not knowing what to expect, perhaps for a goof... And yet, and yet, in witty, catty, biting and deeply humane prose, Yawney sets himself up as your best friend/confidante, explaining - as all good seers do - people to themselves. I would say it's good psychology and good reading, and your sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. ...

Just fun and interesting, it totally described my relationship with another sign, kinda freaky, and neat.

After reading this book, I found that it gives acurate acocunts of people and their zodiac signs. I read my sign and it was so accurate that I nearly freaked out. My room mate read his sign and it described him to a fault. I read my ex's sign and it was so scary I had to put this book down. I recommend this book to any person who is looking for the right person to match their personality.

I am not normally one to believe astrological thinking but this book is fantastic, I have never read anything that summarizes my personality or the personalities of the people I am friends with or have dated. It is kind of scary actually. I would highly recommend this book if you wonder why you are the way you are or why you interact with people the way you do. I joke now with my friends that Im going to hand out photo copies of the section about my sign to people when I meet them so that they know everything they need to know about me right from the start.
