This is a story about a spirited young woman who struggles to keep her home and community together while maintaining her own individuality and personal desires. She has made the best out of a necessary condition and does everything in her power, and a little in her father's unknowing power, to help a town leader. However, along the way she finds deceit, power hungry men, a mystery all its own, and even a little romance. This book will enchant you, motivate you to do something more with what you have, and give you the "Gay Courage" to reach beyond yourself for what you know is rightfully yours. Chin up! and be a little braver today than you were yesterday.
