More than once I have felt as if I'm repeating myself. I distinctly remember reviewing this collection some time ago, but it's not posted, so here goes. This is the work of a writer who enjoys telling stories. She seems compelled to tell stories, and would likely write whether we we read them or not. Her collection hints at a fertile imagination and a restless mind with many interests. I would give a good deal of my time to be her editor: Spelling is not consistent, punctuation less so. Even so, this English major gives high marks for originality. She has the soul of a fireside yarn spinner. For recreational reading, this collection is well worth the price.

It was so much fun to have several of her Christmas stories together like this. A very fun read and an excellant buy. This was a Kindle download as well.

I did NOT know these stories were explicit, I was looking for some sweet regency period Christmas stories.

I did think the stories were o.k., pleasant, but the man and woman characters were always the same! The guy is described in a very similar way in each story, same look, same hair, etc. The woman was always a very unique individual who did not fit into the mold of the time period......in other words, a modern woman of deep thoughts and character, who bucks regency society and the demands of conformity for women. Kinda cool, I thought. That, I really liked, although the women were described very similarly as well.

At a certain point in each of the stories, the two main characters would "hook up"......each time in the same way, the descriptions and the "action" were so similar! I have read 20 anita blake novels by laurel k. hamilton, which have become very explicit......it's not my thing to read. I stayed with the Hamilton paranormal stories because of the unique characters she created. Many fans have left because of the constant instances of explicit hookups in the later stories. It isn't what is great about the series, and it's kinda ruining it. These regency christmas stories would have been a lot better if they weren't so explicit. Or, if it had stated that they were explicit, in the description of the book, so I would have known before purchasing. So definitely not a book for children to come across.

Also, there were quite a few grammar mistakes, spelling/editing goofs, and this did take away from the stories. Not sure how they got into the final story without being edited. Disappointing!

The story premises were promising, but unfortunately they were all very poorly edited and riddled with typos. Further, the punctuation was absolutely terrible! Get a new editor, Gayle - you are paying him/her for nothing!
