I have used this item for years as a student and professional horn player. I bought one for all my students too. You always need a pencil at band and orchestra rehearsals and you always have one with this handy clip. I wish I had invented it.

The Gazley horn pencil clips are absolutely essential for all horn players. As the late, great John Barrows said, the mark of the professional is always having a pencil at every practice session, lesson, and rehearsal! With this pencil clip, there is no excuse not to always have one. I buy them by the dozens and give them to students and anyone else I catch without one.

Being a musician often means making edits to the sheet music so that it can be performed better by the performer. For me, having this little plastic clip to hold my pencil is great because now I always have a pencil with me so that every time the Director makes a change or you notice you're making an error, you can make a little edit there so that you remember for the next time that you play. Worth it definitely!

I bought this for a good friend who plays horn, and they're very happy with it, mostly because their band teacher doesn't yell at them for forgetting a pencil anymore. Inexpensive, and fits on more tubes than just the leadpipe as shown in the main picture.

It's such a simple little piece of plastic, but it works so well. Over time it does seem to lose it's grip, but I just buy 2 or 3 at a time so I've always got a spare.
