4.0 out of 5 stars Big Wheel is Big Hit!
The Big Wheel is still a big hit with kids today. My granddaughter did not enjoy riding her tricycle. The Big Wheel is more stable, with a lower center of gravity. She got on it and rode off like a pro. Easy to assemble; sturdy construction and kids still love 'em.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Princess bike with fairies?
I ordered this bike thinking that it had the Disney princesses on it, or something similar. Instead it has fairies. The name seems a little misleading. It was also hard to put together. The pedal assembly took over an hour to put together. My husband had to file the end of the medal rod that the pedal is supposed to fit on to. Overall, I do not regret ordering this bike...

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite toy ever!, March 9, 2007

We got this for my daughter's 3rd birthday and it is her favorite thing ever. She can make it go so fast, so we usually have to take it to the park for her to ride it safely (our neighborhood does not have sidewalks) or I have to run beside her. She has a smile on her face the whole time she is on it. We have had for over a month and it has not gotten old, she still wants to ride it just as much as she when she first got it. It was easy to put together,[...]I think it is very much worth it! If I had known how much she would love it before I bought it, I would have paid [...]for it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pedals are the problem, May 25, 2009

We had read other reviews and were warned that the pedals fall off. We bought one anyway, assuming that the other customers just didn't know how to put them on. That was a mistake.
The pedals have two problems: they don't spin freely, in fact they hardly can be moved, and they come right off the crank when the child can get them to turn.
What's needed are ball-bearings in the middle of the pedal, and either an end-cap or cotter-pin to hold the pedals on. Otherwise this toy is useless. Particularly painful is the statement on the box that this was made in the USA!

5.0 out of 5 stars PRINCESS BIG WHEEL, August 21, 2008

THIS PRINCESS (FAIRY) BIG WHEEL WAS MET WITH SHEER DELIGHT BY OUR GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE IS 4 AND IT GIVES HER GREAT CONFIDENCE TO GO FAST AND SHE MASTERED STARTS AND STOPS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. SHE ALWAYS HAS A GREAT SMILE WHEN RIDING AND LOVES TO GO ON LONG LONG RIDES ON OUR SIDEWALKS. HER DAD GETS A GREAT WORKOUT TOO AS HE RUNS ALONG SIDE. ITS JUST ABOUT 4 INCHES TO THE GROUND IF THERE IS A SPILL, BUT WITH THE GREAT WIDTH IT'S NOT LIKELY. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SMALL DECKS AS IT TAKES UP MORE SPACE THAN IT LOOKS. LIGHT WEIGHT, SHE CAN MANAGE IT WELL. WE GOT INSTRUCTIONS IN SPANISH ONLY (OOPS) BUT STILL MANAGED TO GET IT TOGETHER WITH THE PICTURES. GREAT FUN FOR KIDS AND THE ADULTS THAT WALK/RUN BESIDE THEM. GET YOUR OWN PRINCESS STICKERS IF YOU DONT LIKE THE FAIRYS AND ADD TO THE DECOR BECAUSE THIS BIKE IS LOTS OF FUN.

I was amazed that the Big Wheel was still being manufactured. I bought two for my sons in the mid 1970's. I ordered the Princess for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter and she loves it. Deja Vu all over again. The Big Wheel is a great workout for children and it advances motor skills. It was the best Xmas gift of the season.

David Sanchez
A proud grandfather.

This was a gift this year for my 4 yr. old daughter and she loves it. Has so much fun with it and it wasn't too tough to put together.
Like another reviewer I think the name is misleading. It isn't a princess big wheel, it has fairies on it. They are cute and all but not quite the same thing. Overall it's a hit with both of my kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the wait, April 11, 2007
This review is from: Princess 16-inch Big Wheel (Toy)
We wanted to get this bike for our 5 yr old daughter for Christmas but no one had them in stock. Maybe they were redesigning them since there were a lot of negative comments regarding the assembly. We ordered our bike in February. I put it together in less than 30 minutes and thought it was not that difficult. The bike works fine and my daughter really enjoys it.

Not as happy as I thought I would be with this product. Didn't think it was worth the money, really. It looks extremely worn after a few months of play. I feel it difficult to put together, part was missing, was awkward to sit in and the the paint lost its brightness and stickers came off after a few months. Sorry, but this one is not a keeper.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing for 3 year olds Birthday!, May 27, 2009

This toy was a huge disappointment for my 3 year old's birthday. Took an hour and a half to put together. There were no pre-punched holes in the the plastic fork as there should have been. The purple foot pedals don't rotate on the metal rods which makes it nearly impossible for my daughter to pedal it. Also, the box recommends ages from 3-8 year olds. My daughter just turned 3 and she is not tall enough for it. The company should list minimum height requirements instead of saying it's fit for 3 year olds. If you are thinking of purchasing this product, I would tell you not to waste your money and instead look for another better rated one instead.
