The list author says: "So you want to build ye a zombie killing arsenal all your own eh? Take a look at these fine weapons both bladed and bludgeoning that grace my arsenal. All CQB (Close Quarters Battle) weapons should only be used as "last resort" if possible. Fighting zombies up close is dangerous. Avoidance should be primary. Make sure to take some classes and learn how to use your weapons so that when you do need to use them you'll be less likely to get killed.
This list is a work in progress and will be updated as I add new weapons to my arsenal. While I did include some of the bigger Cold Steel models, this arsenal does not the majority of my folding knife collection. (For a full listing of 40 folders check my profile.)
Disclaimer: No humans harmed in the making of this arsenal. The author of this list does not condone the use of these weapons on any LIVING targets except in the act of self defense. "A medieval can opener. Used against armored and non-armored foes alike this weapon dealt equal punishment to all. Want to see it in action? Cold Steel and Youtube both have multiple videos of this weapon in action. Check my uploaded pictures."
"Good enough for the spetsnaz and brought to you by Cold Steel. Killing zombies and burying the remains afterward just got easier. See it action - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGWtcFAHFII&feature=colike"
"Sharp on both edges and balanced to throw these large leaf shaped blades leave very wide wounds. My arsenal contains a pair of these blades in the older corded wrapped style. The newer style has removable handle scales to make it easier to lash the blade to a stick to make a spear."
"These are excellent lightweight fixed blades. They may not be as durable as some of Cold Steel's other fixed blade options, however they are quality and cost effective. Lightweight enough you can carry several."
"I own the out of production steel version of this knife. The wide sturdy blade of this knife could be good for severing the spinal cord at the base of the neck of a zombie. However, it could be a good back-up defensive blade against animals of both the 4 and 2 legged variety. Some Sayoc Kali moves would be NASTY with this blade."
"A good lightweight stealthy substitution for a ice pick. Zombie combat manuals suggest an ice pick only as a last ditch combat weapon vs. the undead. Go for the ear canal or the soft pallet and try for a brain shot."
"Another kukri machete. This one by ka-bar. Slightly higher up on the price range and a new addition to my arsenal. However it seems as if price and quality have remained equal. Ties with the frontier hawk as my secondary choice for CQB weapon."
"A nice starter katana. I was very pleased. This is a hand forged battle ready katana. Unlike those cheaply stamped out hollow handled fakes that can be had everywhere for under $30. The fit and finish was amazing for the price. Make sure you get training to use it."
"While not my first or even fifth choice as a zombie weapon... the best zombie weapon is the one you have at hand. As this would be the main working knife of my zombie survival kit, I may be required to put it to use killing zombies."
"Prepare the younger generation for the upcoming zombie hoards... or just beat your friends senseless in a friendly way. I have several High Quality calimacil foam swords for friendly matches with my friends. Gotta keep these geeky arms in shape somehow."
