Works great. Best Value for $$ As good or better than higher priced units!,

This review is from: Gear Head Laser Wireless Mouse (OPP) (Personal Computers)
I have owned this mouse for at least a year, it works great and is 1600dpi laser wireless. The wireless signal is very strong and works from at least 10 feet for me, I haven't needed to use it from longer distances than that so I cannot attest to further usage. I like this unit better than the rechargeable unit they introduced that costs more because I use rechargeable AA batteries and they last months with constant usage, no large power drain. As to the mouse being too fast, as a previous reviewer stated...that is not my experience, you can change all that in control panel/mouse settings and customize for yourself to your little hearts content. Not a valid criticism of this mouse, it works perfectly, has good ergonomics, long battery life and is cheaply priced compared to other comparables and is as well made and constructed as any by Microsoft/Logitech.

I have my regular mouse set to the highest cursor speed (desktop and touch pad on laptop) and when I plug this one in I have to put the mouse speed on the lowest setting just to be able to control the movement. Weird.

Not so Hot,
By Michaelann (Knoxville,Tennessee) - See all my reviews

Even for the low price this mouse is not so hot. The "programmable" aspect of this mouse is to set the number of lines to scroll with the wheel. There are no other choices. Pointer is jerky making precise clicks nearly impossible; and there is no setting that can change speed etc. I would move on to another like Logitech if you want a smooth ride with the ability to actually personalize the mouse.
