Go to ratchet......Must have......,
This review is from: GearWrench 81223 2 Piece Roto Ratchet Set- Cushion Grip (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought these ratchets after using my friends snap-on roto ratchet, and loving it. I was going to go with the snap-on brand but I own alot of gear wrench tools which have never let me down so I went with gear wrench. The snap on ratchets will run you about 220$ for both, they look identical and operate just as well as the snap-on
only differance is the price trust me. I am a diesel mechanic who works on buses, I find myself in alot of tight sitiutions were a little angle can make all the differance. To put this short I use these ratchets as my first option, I put a serious beating on them all day every day they hold up and will work well for you as well . Love them.

these ratchets are nearly perfect for the price. i havent beat them up yet but i can tell they are solid if used correctly. this type of ratchet is for tight and awkward areas, not for breaking loose rusted nuts. the flex-head variation or even a breaker bar is for medium to heavy duty tasks while this can be used for everything else. you can even hold it straight and use it as a ratcheting bit driver. i recommend gun oil on the pivot and on the chrome and a rubber protectant like 303 aerospace on the handle. helps to keep it moving smoothly and be rust and grease stain free.
i would recommend the 3/4 flex head over the pivoting head since most 3/4 applications are torqued harder. thats why i purchased this 2pc set instead of the 3pc.

After deciding to retire my old Williams and Craftsman round head ratchets I took a chance on these. Obviously I haven't had time to really put them to the test but my initial reaction is they are very nicely made ratchets. The finish on them is great, I really like the molded handle and the fine tooth ratcheting mechanism is very smooth. I posted some additional pictures so you could get a better look. I don't know if they'll last as long as my now retired rats but I suspect they probably will at least outlast me.

I bought this product because it had a 1/4" and 3/8" ratchet for the price of one. I was very happy with purchase when I noticed they were the same quality as the expensive alternative of the same patent design. I own a more expensive 1/4" of the same already. These are a great deal for the money.

So, after doing about a days worth of research... i discovered that many tools are made by Danaher Tool Group.I bought the GearWrench Roto Ratchet Set... they are IDENTICAL to my $100 snap on version... This Danaher Tool Group manufacturers Snap-On / Matco & GearWrench !!!! For about $150 less than the Snap-On or Matco.... You GET both the 1/4" & 3/8" Roto Ratchet for around $60 shipped.... and buying one of these from the Tool man will set you back at least $100 each... and from Amazon and GearWrench i got BOTH for under $60 for the SAME Exact Made Tool with the GearWrench name on it!!!! Either way - GearWrench Tools ARE AMAZING - especially since Amazon has them PRIME... and at GREAT Prices... let alone not being able to find these quality tools locally in your big box stores or auto parts stores. You can't go wrong, you're buying the BEST Brand in the business but with the GearWrench name !!!! THE BEST !!!!! simply stated.

I have the Snapon 3/8 drive flex head 100 teeth and 1/4 drive 72 teeth flex head and all I can say is for the price of the Gearwrench YOU CANT GO WORNG!!!! For one the Snapon 3/8 drive 100 tooth has a very long handle, 12" if I remember right, it just doesnt make for a everyday/every job tool, the length of the Gear Wrench 3/8 drive is around 8 inches and is much better for all jobs. The quality and finish of the Gear Wrench compared to my snapon ones are almost equal, I think if you swapped logos from one to the other you would have never questioned it. At first I had the mentality that the Gearwrench would serve as back up tools but now that I got mine in Im using them all the time. If you go Snapon for this set you pay $190 to $210, I think $45 for this Gear Wrench set is hard to beat.
