Now that I got a chance to try these out, I thought I'd write a review of my thoughts.
First, the wrenches are strong, and seem to be of good quality, about like anything else I've gotten from GearWrench, very good, but if I were a mechanic making a living with my tools, I might spring for something like MAC or Snap-Ons. However, they are precisely made, and the finish is smooth, actually almost too smooth. I have seen other crowfoot wrenches, where the part of the jaw that contacts the flats of the nut, are slightly textured, making them more slip resistant, which is about the only improvement I can think of for the tools themselves. For a slightly rounded nut, or especially a hose fitting (where it doesn't always keep its shape rigidly) the mirror-smooth finish of the contact flats can sometimes be a negative. On the bright side, they clean up easily, and so far sho no signs of 'spreading' in use.

The plastic organizer they come in, could use some improvement, though. It is way to 'thick' for what it does. It is too bulky to fit conveniently in a toolbox drawer, but has no cover to keep the tools clean, if used as stand-alone storage. Simply slimming down the case, or adding a lid (either one would be fine) would be a big improvement.

These crow foot wrenches are one of those tools that you need once or twice in a lifetime but when they are needed there is no way around them. To be specific these are used in those rare occasions where a traditional combination wrench or ratchet cannot get into a spot to access a nut. I've read reviews were people have complained that they are awkward to use. Well they are, if you think you can replace a set of combination with these crow foot wrenches you are mistaken.

Anyway, these wrenches are high quality and have a great finish on them. I've used them a few times and have not had a problem where the "foot" spreading open as people have mentioned with the cheap made in China sets. These have held up to some good use and show no wear or damage. These are the typical high quality tools you expect from GearWrench.

Finish is excellent and appears durable so I rate this a 4. I would put this above Craftsman and a bit under Snap-On. Crowsfeet are very handy for plumbing jobs for which I purchased this for. Without these I couldn't complete the job. Crowsfeet are hardly ever used but when needed they are invaluable and this set fits the bill for occasional use. Armstrong or Snap-On would have been a better choice for the professional being higher quality and USA made but at double the price or more. Lastly I agree with another review that states the storage case is much thicker than it needs to be. Overall, I strongly recommend this set.

This set is very sturdy. Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the chrome finish has scratches, i do not know if this is because of the manufacturing, or maby from moving around. Makes me think that it might scratch easy from use. But definitely a solid professional set, would recommend to others.

This set is a solid, well crafted set. It has a molded plastic tray for the individual sizes. tool won't round off fasteners. I have looked at other cheaper and more pricey sets. this one was the best value.

I'm using the crowfoot wrench set to work on and 873 Bobcat which has some really challenging locations for connecting hydraulic lines. The set works great and allows me to get into areas I normally couldn't. I'm not a professional mechanic but this set has made it possible for me to perform my own maintenance without having to take the machine back to Bobcat. This is a great product and I recommend it to anyone doing their own, professional or not.

They are decent. I have some complaints though:

1.) They do not have notches machined into the 3/8 drive hole to allow an extension or ratchet to hold the crowsfoot securely.
2.) I like the laser etched numbers, but they should have the size stamped also. The laser etching wares off.

I believe they are made of a higher quality chrome-vanadium than many of the cheaper sets though, and for the price they are ok.
