Tool came in a nice case and has a solid feel. Only had a chance to use it at about 25 ft-lbs to install some plugs and the feedback is excellent when the torque limit is reached. Contrast on markings is poor (steel on steel) making reading the scale a bit difficult but not a big deal. Highly recommended.

Good quality and has a molded case. Needed a wrench with a lower range and this is it. Works for torquing bolts on my Harley that only require 10 ft lbs.

There's not a lot to say about a torque wrench other than a.) it's well made, b.) it's accurate, c.) it's easy to use and d.) it's durable. This one by GearWrench appears to be very well made -- the ratchet and torque adjustment mechanisms have a nice solid feel to them. I have no way of checking the wrench's accuracy so will take the maker's word on it. Setting the torque is easy and the lock prevents the setting from being accidentally changed.

Torque setting procedure easy & exact. Numbering system on wrench needs to be etched darker for easier reading.

I purchased this wrench to install a hitch on my car, it did a perfect job. Setting the torque is very easy, you can either choose pound/foor or newton/meter.

When you reach the torque setting the wrench "jumps" and makes a very audible noise, so there's no risk you'll exceed the desired amount of torque by accident.

The product seems very sturdy, it's a bit expensive but it looks like it will last a lifetime.

I give this torque wrench five stars. I have had mine for five years. The only regrettable thing is that I bought mine off the tool truck when I worked at a dealership. The price off the truck was two to three times what it sells for on amazon. It came in a nice sturdy blow molded case with the factory torque test printout. I have used it almost everyday for automotive applications. It has held up to the use and provides an accurate torque every time. Mine is also Gearwrench and like their tools, has a lifetime warranty. If you want a great accurate torque wrench and don't want to pay the tool tuck or retailer full price, get it here. I see some posts where people have said it was a bit costly but you should compare it against other competitors or even look it up at some of the mobile tool companies websites. You will pay double or even triple in most cases. I recommend this high quality torque wrench to anyone who wants a great tool at a great price.

UPDATE 2/11/2014: After 3.5 years, the ratchet/torque gears failed. I don't know the life expectancy of ratchet gears, but I've never had a ratchet tool that I've owned break down before. I've got ratchet wrenches in the garage that I've used for so many years I can't remember when they were purchased. And I hardly even used this Gear Wrench tool. Its main purpose was to torque down the lug nuts on my tires (at 76 pounds) after a tire rotation (every 5000 miles). With two cars averaging 6-7 thousand miles a year, I used this wrench maybe two (three max) time a year. Of course the warranty is done after one year so I have to buy a new torque wrench. I guaranty it will NOT be a Gear Wrench product. Gear Wrench and I are done.

Nicely constructed torque wrench. It worked well on my wheel lug nuts (primary reason for purchase). I haven't used it on other nuts/bolts, plugs, etc, yet. I see why some say the chrome-on-chrome legend is somtimes hard to see, but adjusting the surrounding light fixes that fairly easily. Overall, I think it's an excellent tool for a decent price. If it proves otherwise, I'll update my post.

I'm not a hard-core wrencher. While I do enjoy messing around w/ my car, I haven't really gotten into *major* mechanical stuff (i.e. engine/drivetrain/suspension stuff). Most of my fiddling is limited to simple plug and play electronic mods, and only the super-easiest of bolt on parts. I recently needed a torque wrench and found this one on Amazon. I was looking for a quality piece that wasn't too expensive.

I'm pretty happy w/ this one. If you require a torque wrench as part of your everyday kit, maybe there are better options out there. This one suits my needs just fine: Feels sturdy and well made. The markings are easy to read. Setting and locking the wrench are dead simple.
