The title says it all, this is a good torque wrench. For the money, this is a good value. There are better torque wrenches, but not at this price.Setting the desired torque setting is easy. The long handle makes it easy to apply up to 160 lb/ft torque with one hand (I'm no strong guy so the leverage is greatly appreciated). The click-stop action is superb, which for a DIY'er, it's the best thing going for this torque wrench. Cheaper torque wrenches will not have nearly as clear of a clicking sound and abrupt stop of torque applied when the desired torque is reached. Adjusting torque is easy, just pull back the adjustment ring, turn to unlock, then start turning the handle till the desired torque setting is reached. It's a better mechanism than most of the other torque wrenches available at this price. This torque wrench is made in the USA as well. Calibration results are included on a piece of paper wrapped around the handle with a rubber band. On the low and mid range it's within 1 ft lb, though at the high end it's off by 3.5 ft lbs, well within +/- 3%. I confirmed its calibration using an AllTrade Digital Torque Adapter in my vice, which I confirmed the AllTrade using two different beam torque wrenches. This torque wrench has a few small quirks, though they do not prevent the wrench from performing its tasks. Each revolution in adjustment covers 15 lb, instead of the normal 10 lb increments. When it clicks into a pound setting, there is some play that remains. The engravings are harder to read than those found on other torque wrenches, but it's still readable. I'm currently using this torque wrench for building a 77' Pontiac 400 V8. Torque values range from 15-160 ft lbs. I am using this wrench for everything requiring a 1/2" drive socket from 50 to 160 ft lbs. For 3/8" drive sockets I am using a CDI torque wrench model 1002MFRMH. I also have 2 Craftsman 1/2 and 3/8 drive beam style torque wrenches, a Pittsburgh 1/2 drive #239 and a AllTrade Digital Torque Adapter. Comparing to all of these torque wrenches, I've come to the conclusion this is a good, but not perfect torque wrench. The CDI models are a hard act to follow. The comparable CDI 2503MFRMH torque wrench will cost you another $70, so deciding between the two is a balance between cost vs quality. For my needs, this torque wrench is fine, but in the case of the 3/8 drive, $20 more for the CDI model was sure worth every penny.

I was very surprised at the lower quality of this item. Have many GearWrench sets and so have become used to a somewhat higher quality than I feel this torque wrench provides. The rubber handle slips off easily and the ratcheting mechanism is coarse and uneven in operation. In a word, the tool is merely 'adequate'. Also, the warranty is for only one year.

This is a very nice torque wrench - needed it to replace the front wheel bearings on my GMC Pick-up which has 2 bolts that require 220ftlbs of torque. The longer length is very helpful when you need to get this amount of torque on a bolt. Comes iwth a nice hard case also. You can tell it is well built from the feel of it when adjusting the torque, or using it.

I highly recommend this torque wrench to anyone needing one for their garage at home, and maybe even professional mechanics. I recently purchased this item because I needed it in order to accurately rebuild a Honda transmission. The torque is very precise and clicks once you have reached the desired specification. Only bad thing I could say is that the reverse/forward selector is plastic. Really wish that were metal, but even still, it seems very strong. Plus, you do not use this wrench like you would a regular ratchet so it is not as likely you would break it off. Also, this wrench is MADE IN THE USA!

This wrench is quality all the way through. I especially like the locking nut on the handle. That prevents the torque from being changed accidently while in use. This happened to me once when I forgot to lock it. Great deal for the price. Lifetime warrenty. Can't ask for much more.

Instead of making this torque wrench like most others one revolution is 15 lbs instead of 10 which makes it a pain to use
