4.0 out of 5 stars torque wrench
The product is exactly as described. Worked very well and the audible alarm triggered at the specified torque comes in very handy when you have to keep your focus on other small details while you are working. However the construction of the tool seems to "look cheaply made". I am not willing to start beating on it, but i hope it holds up for the price i paid.

This review is from: GearWrench 85072 1/4-Inch Drive Electronic Torque Wrench 10 - 120 In. Lbs. (Tools & Home Improvement)
I ordered this after reading the mostly positive reviews for the 3/8" GearWrench electronic torque wrench. I was disappointed with this wrench the first time I saw it. There is far too much cheap plastic on the wrench. The battery cover is held on by a tiny screw that is far too easy to lose. For my first use, I set the desired torque and used it with the whole wrench in a straight line. I thought it worked in this manner but it does not (at least not as a torque wrench). It does work as a screwdriver in this mode, but in using it in this mode to tighten a bolt, the grip (upper portion on the wrench) dislodged. Using it with the tip bent down 90 degrees like a normal ratchet wrench, it works fine, but you have to continually watch the light to see if you are at the desired torque. It will only beep if you are about 6% PAST the desired torque. I bought this on sale for $120 and I think a more fitting price for it would be $40. I would have returned it after my first use had I bought it on Amazon.

I've used this wrench a few times and like this wrench much more than the mechanical torque wrenches I own. The one minor issue is that I seem to accidentally move the power switch while using it and turn off the wrench. I would have rated the wrench at 5 stars if it didn't have the annoyance of the power switch.

The product description states the wrench does not include batteries but the unit I received did have batteries included.

While the wrench is mostly plastic construction, it feels well made. I wouldn't drop test the wrench, but then again you're not supposed to drop the all metal torque wrenches either :)

Perfect , the click could over torque your project, 60 70 inch lbs or less the clicker type wrench can bite you , this piece does not feel cheap , but is very simply made great for plastics and very fine jobs , I does
es look delicate though,, great piece I love it
