This review is from: GearWrench 85298 9 Piece SAE X-Beam Flex Head Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (Tools & Home Improvement)
Excellent tool, and the only tool I found that could install a 3/4" locknut in a Tacoma chasis from a hole the size of my finger. It has been used many times since and works great! I also recommend the metric flex x-beam set. It is very simple to use, seems very strong and the x-beam design allows much torque without gloves; there is more than the width of a regular wrench to hold onto. Kobalt makes a flex set also but it doesn't compare to the make of GearWrench Flex X-Beam; GearWrench you must flip over to change the ratchet direction, Kobalt has a lever, but a larger flex head. It is easy for me to determine the direction first. Only a very small movement is needed to ratchet. I am just a DIY'er and don't work for anyone related to this product. I really like this set and style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite wrenches, August 20, 2011

I have had these for about 9 months and they have quickly become my favorite wrench set. I got these mainly for the extra length, but the twist in the handle putting the flat part of the wrench against the palm is so much more comfortable you have to wonder why someone didn't do this sooner. My only complaint is that it's hard to tell which way is CW or CCW in poor light, so I did put a dab of red paint on the side that turns clockwise. I work on farm equipment, so I do wish they made these in larger sizes but for anything these will fit on they are great. Some of the earlier GearWrench flex heads got loose and floppy after just a few uses, so far these haven't.

these have a nice feel to them and they are just what the Doctor ordered when working in tight places. Just make sure you are careful not to trap the wrench on a bolt by backing it out against another part, you will be stuck as these don't reverse! The X Beam is a very nice touch, easy on your hands when you need to put some muscle into a fastener. They came with nice case to keep them organized in the tool box. Liked them so much I bought a Metric set as well.

My only pick is the heads move / angle just a tad to easily. They aren't floppy but I would like them to be just a bit tigher to stay at an angle they are set at.
