From the Manufacturer

The patented GearWrench Ratcheting Wrench needs as little as 5º of movement to turn a fastener. Small ratcheting box end design allows access to tight spots where a ratchet and socket or a conventional ratcheting box end will not fit. The GearWrench will move a fastener along any length threaded rod without ever having to remove the wrench from the fastener. SurfaceDrive box end virtually eliminates the rounding of fasteners. Includes: 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm and 19mm gear wrenches.

I have been working on cars/trucks for a long time. I've tried just about every tool ever made from every manufacturer there is or was. These GearWrench Metric Ratcheting wrenches are the best I have ever used. I actually have 8 or more sets (lost count) in SAE and Metric. I have all varieties and they are all the best. They are rugged, well made and work great. They have only a 5 degree movement for the ratcheting action and fit every nut/bolt very well. The ratcheting action is very fast, faster than a conventional ratchet. The open end fits nuts/bolts very well, much better than most open end wrenches which seem to be on the loose side but not the GearWrench wrenches. I have never had any problems, no flaking of the chrome, no broken ratchets, no problems at all. If you shop around, you can sometimes find these on sale and then they are a real bargain! Do yourself a favor and buy the best wrenches you can, you'll save so much time and aggravation in the long run.

These are quality wrenches and the ratchet operation is really a time-saver.

Note that the plastic tray is really just that-- a tray. It appears to be the bottom of what would otherwise be a case, of sorts. But there is no top. Even so, if you want to store the wrenches there, they are reasonably stable (do not fall out if inverted).

Hard for me to judge a tool unless I have used it a very long time. From this kit I used the 13mm and 15mm to assemble 9 bikes for a charity event for school kids. Unlike non-ratcheting models, these ratcheting wrenches have straight shafts with no angle or offset for the box end. Makes them harder to use in tighter areas, but generally the short throw of the ratchet makes up for the inconvenience. Tools appear good to excellent quality. Much better feel than a socket wrench as I worked them. Would recommend.

I bought my first set of GearWrench socket set over 10 years ago and I have yet to be dissapointed. I have since then expanded my tool collection with only GearWrench (other than my craftsman professional wrench set). This set is precise and tough. I've used it to change out brakes, loosen oil and transmission drain plugs, and more. I probably shouldnt use a rubber mallet on it, but I have done exactly that to help loosen those stuck bolts. The clicks are strong and positive when turned and I expect this set to last my lifetime and when I pass it down to my kids. My 10+ year socket set has no rust even when kept in my car trunk and previous to that, my truck bed toolbox. Awesome quality. I have both the standard and metrics set.

What a great wrench set! Super sturdy feel, tight assembly, tough finish, and a complete mystery as to how they assemble them. I still can't figure it out. I kind of don't want to -- makes them feel more magical anyway.

Bonus: No fiddly ratchet reverse switch -- just flip the wrench over to go the other way!

These are my new favorite tools. The 8mm and 10mm are *indispensable* for a touring cyclist's tool roll.
I keep the 17mm one at my desk just to click the ratchet around when I'm bored.

I use these daily. They are a staple in my toolbox as a mechanic. The only thing they could have improved upon is to have added better markings for which way is tighten and loosen. The only way I can tell is by looking at the letter in the middle of the wrench which marks their date of manufacture (in my case the letter "N") because that's always printed on the "tighten" side.

Used just a couple of times so far, and for the price I paid, I would consider it a steal! The finish is every bit as good as the more common name brand products out there for much higher prices. The ratcheting action is smooth and the fit is precise. The ratcheting box end is slim enough to fit in most tight spaces and the feel of the tool in the hand is natural.

Exactly what I was looking for. GearWrench is a great brand for a great price. I have a tool box full of GearWrench ratchets & sockets of all different sizes and now these ratcheting wrenches. I use my tools everyday as a BMW technician and none of my tools by GearWrench have ever failed nor broke so I continue to buy my tools from GearWrench whenever possible.
