I purchased this figure for my 18 year old son who plays the video game. All I can really say is that it's a flawless duplicate of the CGI character. My son is very pleased and I was impressed at the posability considering the extraordinary level of detail. For a "toy" it's quite amazing.

These Gears of War figures by NECA are really not intended for children (I would hope that would be obvious based on the content of the XBox 360 game). I have mine displayed on a shelf in my classroom - they draw a lot of comments because of the game's popularity.

These figures really capture the characters with the attention to detail that NECA is known for. If you're familiar with the game, you'll instantly recognize Cole in his armor, and particularly his Lancer assault rifle. He can be displayed in several ways, and I've has no problem with balance - these GoW figures are stout and easily stand with their wide feet.

Again, these are high quality, display-worthy characters. Most of the figures come with smaller pieces that could present a choking hazard to children, so keep them out of reach.

Perfect for the Gears of War fans out there.

This a great collector's item!! I purchased this action figure for my husband, who is an avid collector, and he loved the mobility and the durability of this product..

I bought this for my "Man Cave" or "Lair" as they are called. It's standing on top of my DVD rack along with Marcus, and with room for Dom and Baird. The detail on these are amazing. Although I had some trouble getting the guns to fit into the hands. The legs went into position really easy and I got it to stand on the first try and he hasn't fallen yet. I can't wait for Series 2!

Pros:
- Detail in model and paint work is good.
- Figure is solid hunk of plastic- heavy.

Cons:
- Weapons do not fit well in hand
- Articulations are in shoulder, elbow, torso, thighs, knees, neck. No amount of articulation puts the figure in any kind of dramatic pose. They should have just allowed for no articulation and focused on a really dramatic pose like the Star Wars Unleashed figures.

I purchased most of the GOW figures for my 9yr old for Christmas. These are very durable and detailed, however there is very little articulation so the series of figures aren't exactly action figures but better suited for display. Not to mention I later found each of these figures much, much cheaper at my local Blockbuster video store.
