A better view of the lambent locust

Okay, I have tried to buy as many Gears of war figures as I can. I was really looking forward to this figure, and would check up on it as often as I could. I even spent waaaaay to much on two of them when they were first listed (simply becasue I wanted to make sure I would get one/2/3/4).

This figure comes in a clamshell (like all the single figures, of course), but this one has the back cut out of the paper that is inserted into the clamshell before sealing, so that if you hold it to the light, the figure will appear to "glow" as the Lambent do in the game. Kind of a cool little thing to do for the packaging...IMO.

...as for the figure itself, well, what can one say? The figure has a paint ap that is pretty much common grade for mass produced figures. The only weapon you get is the Gnasher shotgun (well, it is a GRENADIER), but I think they could have thrown in a couple more accessories for the price.

i just received my lambent grenadier in the mail and i must say that this is one beautiful figure! the paint and just general feel of the character is awesome plus he GLOWS under the light! iam very pleased with him and am hoping to buy more gears action figures in the near future. I know the gears 3 collection will be ridiculous!!

I opened this because its selling for $20.00 on amazon.com and people are saying that its rare. I LOVE this figure. I would sleep with it if I was a lot younger. Just a B-E-A-Utiful piece of plastic. Excellent lambent light look, SILVER TEETH, and great detail. 5/5

This is a really cool looking piece but it was not meant to be opened. Mine broke as I was opening it CAREFULLY. Neca slacks on durabilaty. I also expect that, based on anthony carmine this will be worth a lot of money. I have purchased 9 neca action figures so far and FOUR have came broken! Neca does put a lot of detail into most of their figures though. But that doesn't matter if they arrive broken. The lambent grenadier is the least detailed of my gears of war figures and the least posable. Although it is cool that it is a comicon exclusive and it glows. It is great if you're a reseller, but not for anyone who wants to open it. Do not buy it on less you plan on keeping it in the box

This toy is so awesome! Anyone looking at this toy should get it now! It is one of NECA's greatest figure!

I always open my action figures and when I purchased this lambent grenadier I did the same. However, I found myself buying another one due to how amazing this figure is. The best thing about this figure is the glowing transucent gimmick the figure has. I was optimistic at first, but I suggest you open it to get the full effect of this aspect of the figure. I bought another one to keep in its box so that way I will always have a masterful figure. You should buy another since there on sale on amazon for 12 dollars its a must buy.

Well its just a Lambent Grenadier with just one weapon. its hard to say that it should of came with more, since in the game you dont see much of them, just when that one Lambent jumps off to get you and then dies, and the lambent goes or comes out of him and goes up the wall and into another Grenadier. but now i see the price is [...] bucks now! wha... i bought 1 last week, and now i will be buying a few more maybe 4 more. i would make sure i would buy this if you are a GOW fan and collector. you dont want to end up looking for one later like SDCC A. Carmine! he looks a little too dark tho, but when lit up looks cool. but since i have alot more and most of all the NECA GOW Figures i can give him more weapons! A must have for a TRUE GOW COLLECTOR!
